I just picked up the Plunder Core. I’m currently running the PUNK build because I don’t have the Adventure Engine anymore but I will definitely test out this build!

I personally value desires a bit more since I feel that this deck can struggle with consistency at times (no prosperity). I also feel it can be decently resilient to handtraps (so if my blackbeard gets veilered for example it still has an effect next turn) so tactics isn't as needed imo
17:54 does anyone have any cards to sub out bahama shark and toad? I've been looking around online and couldn't find anything if anyone has any suggestions id appreciate it.
I don't have thrust (too poor lol) but as for talents I didn't think it was needed, I liked the kaijus and handtraps better since they have extra synergy with attributes for the plunder patrolls
It depends on the format, but right now I have 3 Droll, 3 Barrier, 3 Trap Trick, 3 Twin Twisters, 1 Feather Duster and 2 heavy Storm duster (subject to change however)
Nice list! I am curious about the logic of desires and the kaijus. Maybe the math does check out but it seems like there's a decent chance of desires turning off the slumber? also ive found the deck can struggle with outing a large nibiru token so I'm curious about your thoughts on that?
The probability of that happening is very low, but even if it does, slumber ends up being a decent discard outlet for shipyard because of it's effect in the gy. In terms of outing a large nibiru token, it would come down to kaijus, zeus, or getting lucky with dragite hitting an nibiru off it's effect.
The nibiru issue is also something i dont like about that card in plunder, yet i usually play it. i highly recommend playing white aura whale. you can place the token in attack position and summon white aura whale for a boardwipe. another option would be playing number 4: stealth kragen. It destroys the token and gives burn damage for half of the tokens atk. The problem is, that the extra deck space is tight and you cant play that many tech options. First thing to cut would be zeus, next maybe the toad package.
@@MrAeroxPLAY I got a stealth Kragen recently, I think the whale is definitely better but thought it a bit expensive for a card that isn't gonna come up every game
The fusion spell is good tho. The fact it can attach an equip and a monster let’s you essentially search, when you have cards like shipyard (in grave) jord and black eyes
My problem with the fusion spell is that it feels like a brick if its not in the gy, it really only feels good when you discard it off a plunder card. You can play it at 1 if you want, I just haven't tested it and haven't come across a situation where I needed it

Would you swap out pot of desires for tactics? Or do you value desires more. Just got some PTSD from desires

You can just forgo them entirely, and end on a plunder patroll board instead (i.e. jord + blackbeard) and it'll still be good
