As someone who just despises Yugioh players, and actually could list my dark hole dragon deck that seems to troll even ycs guys on ygopro, imma give you a run down of how I view all of this. Yugioh is at it's core a corruption of the Protestant work ethic. It's about doing the most things. Doesn't matter what the thing is. If a spell card could simply be activated and return to the hand doing fuck all. It'd be worth ten pot of greeds. Action inflation. Thus everything is "work". Starters: Begin the work process. Punching in. A Extenders: Profit from work, gains. B Recursion: Automated work. C Hand trap: Disruption of the flow of work but not stop it. D Board wipe: Undoing present work results. E Floodgates: Makes work more difficult to perform. F Negates: Work is halted. F You can't get to negates without putting in work yourself. They're also susceptible to board wipes. So E beats G unless G is also C. C becomes easier and easier to get too. Noone even bothers playing D because D only really works on A and B which B keeps improving and A becomes literally every card. Normally F would stop B but conveniently they keep banning F and refusing to make new F. Thus there is no consistent way to stop C. Which is infinitely more valuable than F which only minimizes C.

How to improve? Just be better

My biggest problem is that I just want to get a new deck every other day without even testing them because I like the artworks :D

All of the Dragon Rulers and Colossus I feel are locks to go to 3. Dragon Rulers are too slow in the current meta, and there are many outs for Colossus and it’s just not a great card anymore. A card at 1 that I also think can start making its way back to multiple copies is Naturia Sacred Tree, mainly because Naturia’s aren’t doing anything right now. As for banned cards, Glow-Up Bulb can come back and not affect the current meta in any way. That card is long overdue to come back. Ultimate Offering is terrible now. Bring it back, no one will play it. And then there’s Premature Burial. Honestly, this card is just a simple errata away from being able to come back. Just change it so that the monster is destroyed when it leaves the field and maybe hard once per turn it and it can come back fine. Lastly, Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity can come back in my opinion. Wind-Ups just aren’t really that good now and Zenmaity can at least make them playable again.

Tenpai already had bricking issues. Just say you want to kill the deck. Limiting Chundra is the end of Tenpai.

There are so many ways to out shifter, chaos hunter, lancea, called by the grave, etc. Its just annoying that it has a blanket effect but I personally think shifter is a necessary evil.

Infernity launcher to 3, without apollousa, borreload savage, or Baronne the deck has literally zero counter play against any handtrap in the entire game and loses to literally all of them. Infernity is also forced to be strictly going first since because of the handless combo gimmick you cannot play any handtrap in the deck. Launcher I believe came to 3 in master duel and the deck does nothing there as well

I agree on Sanctifire and thr banned needed floodgates, those cards can be one card turn stop or you are just too limited before being able to prepare a response, it create unfair and just unfun moments. Flamberge ... It generate way too many advantages with one monster.

ill happily accept a branded sanctifire ban if we get branded fusion back to 3. otherwise, youre just kicking a deck whilst its down..... its not even rogue anymore

Good opinion, but we all know: regardless what konami is doing, people will forever complain. For me, Dimension Shifter is fine. If you ban it, you will powercreep all "lower tier decks". Shifter is the only card that gives lower tier decks advantages, if it gets banned man this will harm the format and the deck variation alot. We dont need so much bans, we need cards to out certain mechanics. We need a card to out dimension shifter. The Banlist should not be a tool to powercreep lower decks, it should be a tool for unfair or way overpowered cards. And to be honest, Shifter is not unfair. It is a problem for certain decks, but yugioh is designed so. Many decks have advantages and disandvantages to certain cards. My final thoughts on all people who are complaining "if they lose, all enemy cards are unfair and unfun.If they win, the cards are fine". "Ban every other deck/card, but dont touch mine" :)
