  • My new video uploaded What Life is Like in Lebanon 2022?
    I moved here from the USA almost 1 year ago and I’m sharing more about my experience as an expat in Lebanon in 2022 and what life really is like in Lebanon.
    This video is all about life in Lebanon in 2022 as an expat living in Beirut. I know that my life as an expat is not the same as the life as a Lebanese local, but I am sharing more about what I’ve observed here, how life in Lebanon has been changing in 2022.

      I love the social life here, but I honestly haven't been the most proactive about making new local friends, so can't really comment. Most of the locals I've become friends w were introduced to me from mutual expat friends

    How do you like living in Lebanon? I'm Lebanese and my girlfriend is black so I was curious about your experience

      I have a good time, but I mostly stick to certain areas. Sone women that are darker skin or from African countries have told me awful stories and are treated worse, so I think there are different types of discrimination

    For those of traveling to Lebanon, where do you think the best areas to stay are? And do you feel safe when going places alone in the area?

      If you're coming in summer def near the beach, like Batroun or Byblos. If you want to be in like downtown Beirut, check the Phonecia, Kempinski, and Movenpick hotels!

    Hello! I was in lebanon a few weeks ago. I loved the country, the culture and of course the food. I was very sad to see the local populace struggle so much. However, my curiosities as an American are, what was the residency visa like? I loved the country so much that I would love to live there at some point in my life.

    • @WhereisMalikah
      @WhereisMalikah  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's amazing, and summer is so much fun! I'm not sure how a normal visa would work, since we moved for work our employer took care of a lot of that stuff. I would also say I'm not 100% sure I recommend long term residency considering the crisis, a lot really will depend on how things change in the next year. So just monitor the situation and then decide!
