is there a hot wallet that support passphrase?
Thank you! Would you mind sharing some good, secure burner hot wallet options? Or is it better to just use another cold one? You said it doesn’t matter in the video since we aren’t keeping much money on the burner, so I’m leaning hot wallet so I have one of each kind and I think having a hot one is beneficial in some cases as long as you’re not keeping much there. Is metamask good?

Do u have a vid explaining how to go from main HD wallet to burner wallet without using an exchange . say u want to move some crypto to burner wallet to sell on exchange or trade for another crypto but dont want ti connect main wallet to do so , is this something that can be done ? I only ask for a extra layer of secrurity . I can use the exchange to send fiat after selling crypto for fiat to bank i know how that works .
I’m not sure I understand. You can safely send crypto from your main storage wallet directly to an exchange with no issues. That does not compromise security.
@@cyberscrillaI think he means for extra security (peace of mind) he wants to send a small amount of crypto from his main wallet to a cheap wallet. Wallet to wallet. So he doesn't connect his main wallet to any system. Not able to hack the main wallet.
Is there risk to waiting to get a lower fee? Like is it exposed longer to potentially be hacked???

There’s no inherent risk. You’re just waiting to get a better fee
I have a newb question. If you add a USDC token to your wallet and if you swap bitcoin, solano or whatever to the USDC token, Is that the same as selling your crypto? So that you dont have to load everything back to an exchange to sell it it.
Yes, swapping crypto for USDC in your wallet is like selling it. It provides you with a stable asset without needing to use an exchange.
Now if you want it in your bank account, you’ll have to use a CEX to off-ramp

QUESTION: What’s the best way to monitor your crypto value? For example: some wallets don’t even have the exact coin price. Also, on exchanges it keeps track of what you paid (DCA) and how much it’s worth. The gains or losses… What do you all recommend???
How much safer is using a hot wallet only when transferring funds over leaving it on phone at all times? Otherwise deleting the wallet and never then deelting app?

Using a hot wallet to transfer funds and everything else is fine.
I just don’t recommend storing crypto on a hot wallet.
When you say storing your crypto on a hot wallet, I aassume that means that the app is downloaded on the computer or phone.
If you dont have the app on your phone, but only download when you need to trasnfer funds, is that relatively safer than keeping app on phone at all times?
How is the cold wallet safer? Just that the seeds arent ever on the computer/phone to be looked at?
@obcane3072 deleting the app doesn’t eliminate the issue of exposing your private key/seed phrase online.
A cold wallet keeps your private key stored on the physical device, which is disconnected from the internet and immune to malware and other attacks along with other security features hot wallets don’t offer.

Most exchanges have been experiencing “technical difficulties” during major bitcoin pumps.
Also scheduled maintenance could affect your ability to deposit/withdraw

@garethlewis3743 doesn’t matter how much you send. Blockchain fees are solely based on network congestion.

Use the steps in this video. It’s all the same process.
To send crypto from Uphold to another wallet, tap on the ''Actions'' button located in the main menu followed by ''Send''.
Now, simply fill in the amount of crypto you want to send, paste the receiving address or scan the QR code, and verify the transaction

@@Jerksters If you have a seed phrase for your uphold wallet then yes. Otherwise no, you’ll have to transfer each asset individually.
I have my crypto on exchanges because I am trading, and often these are mid-long term trades. I guess I'm confused about how one goes about trading crypto if their assets are stored on a hot or cold wallet. Are there hot wallets that are compatible with trading? I hope this isn't a dumb question, I just can't wrap my head around how this works for those of us who are focused on trading.
@CryptoWitch76 Yes, all wallets are still compatible with trading? Many wallets allow you to trade directly in the app. Otherwise, just use a DEX.
