    How accurate is the 5.5" depth of the camera cube? Does the 5.7" long RF 70-200mm fit in vertically? Is there more depth when using dividers instead of the camera cube?

      I have the 70-200 f/2.8 L lens that does not fit vertically. It sticks out a solid inch. I’m not sure about the shorter f/4 70-200… I did measure the depth for you and I wouldn’t put anything in there that was more that 5.5”. Taking out the cube gains you maybe 1/8”.

      @@danielporterAZ thanks for the response. Just to clarify I think the RF 70-200mm f2.8 is 5.7" long but you said it sticks out a solid inch. Do you know the actual usable depth? I'm trying to figure out which lenses/items I'll be able to place vertically to save space (I have the 28-70mm f2, 70-200mm f2, 15-35mm f2.8, 85mm f1.2, 100-500mm, Mavic Mini, RC controller with screen)

      @@bladerealm124 I’d say that the actual usable depth is 5.5” which is exactly how much the grip of my R5 sticks out while on its side as I have it:”.

    Excellent video intro to this bag, Daniel! I'm thinking of getting the McKinnon 25L backpack with ladder system, but need to know which configuration (cube size or dividers) would accommodate 2 Nikon mirrorless bodies, possibly with lenses attached (a 14-30 f/4, 24-120 f/4, and/or a 100-400 f/4.5-5.6)? Thank you!

      The cube gives you the most options in my opinion. However, if you use just one of the smaller cubes you can make the loft much bigger to accommodate that 100-400 possibly. But you may need to go with the bigger PM bag

      @@danielporterAZ Daniel, thank you for your informative reply! I look forward to doing as you suggest. I also thought that perhaps if I remove the ladder and configure dividers using the entire space, that I might be able to access the camera with 100-400 vertically from the "loft" top area, but of course this is all pure speculation since I have neither the bag nor the lens just yet. Thanks again!

    Good review, but a couple questions. How heavy does it feel when loaded with the Avata, Mavic and camera gear? Is it good for plane traveling? Lastly, how does it feel from a breathability stand point. I hate larger backpacks because they always make me feel hot due to poor back circulation. Again, thanks for the review, I didn't realize the bag came with a battery storage case, but lacked the straps you mentioned.

    • @danielporterAZ
      @danielporterAZ  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To clarify, the bag does not come with the battery storage case, nor the memory card storage case. But I just weighed it for you and with all these items it weighs 22 lbs. and like I shared in the video, the back breaths very well. I’ve never felt like it got extra hot on my back and I live in Arizona 🌵 ☀️ 🥵

    Can you post a link to the those leather looking cable management straps?

    Are the zips tamper proof or if not is there a way to make them tamper proof? I worry about walking around a crowded city and a pickpocket just unzipping the laptop section and making off with my macbook...

    • @danielporterAZ
      @danielporterAZ  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So the main opening is against your back, so nobody can just open it and get to items without you knowing or feeling it. The laptop compartment is even between that and you’re back so you have to be pretty unaware of your surroundings to not feel somebody sliding that out.

      @@danielporterAZ Thanks, I may just buy one of those mini cable padlocks just to be sure lol. I would definitely feel it but by the time I've felt it they might be running off down the street.
