Just found your video and I was searching for ND filters for the same reasons as you. Went to search for these Peter Mckinnon NDs. I need two right now: a 58mm and a 77mm. Found them on Amazon. The 77mm is "only" €300 (I'm from Ireland) and the 58mm doesn't exist. Humm. Noup! Way too expensive as everything with Peter's name. I love his content but I find it really hard, pretty much impossible, to justify these prices just cause it is a youtuber. Same with the backpack at €455. Too much money. Then I found the K&F variable ND filter, have both sizes I need and a little bit cheaper: 58mm is €76 and the 77mm at €97. Ok, these don't have the rubber lens cap but still both together are €127 less then only one from Peter. This difference would pay a year of insurance (that by they way, very, very good advice!!!). Again, hard to justify this price

I hear you brother…everyone’s situation is different. I went with the PM version because I just can’t deny the quality of PolarPro’s products and I REALLY like the rubber cap that allows me to store the filter on the lens and protect the element. Being that the value of the lens is 10X the value of the ND filter, justifies the cost for me personally. And finally-yes! Insure your gear! It was a life saver for me and well worth the money.

I use the cheapest usb filters I can find for all my lens’s. I the. Put the lens cap on. I store and yea sport them like that and one quick twist I take it off when I’m shootings and a quick 1/3 turn out it back on

I was looking at that route initially. But I also knew I wanted/needed variable NDs. When I came across these that can act as a cap as well I was sold. Like I said in the video: “I almost always shoot with one on so it makes sense for me.”
