Always land at a minimum of 3.5v average per cell. The voltage will drop very fast below 3.5v. The battery will recover to a resting voltage of about 3.7v per cell. You definitely flew the first battery until it had nothing left... hence the puffing. Throw that battery.
If you haven't got average cell voltage in the goggles, add that in betaflight. Its far easier to monitor average cell voltage especially if you end up using 2s, 4s, 6s batteries etc. Average cell voltage will be common across different cell count batteries

My first drone was 100% manual almost made me trash flying altogether . I spent hours just getting it to hover , not fun at all . Then I bought
the DJI Phantom 1 and it was fun to fly . Then I started building to get what I wanted but for camera drone flying , did that for a couple of years
. Then a friend of a friend wanted to have his employs fly around the jobsites and livestream to his office , private . I did some research and found
the Mavic Pro cheapest way to do what he wanted . So he tells me OK I want to do this , so I told him to buy the Mavic Pro and I would show him
how to do it . Well he says I'll buy two and you learn how then you can teach me on mine , I told him I didn't have a Mavic Pro he said you will now .
After getting it all together and teaching him how to do what he wanted he said I don't have anyone that could do this . I told him I would return the MP and he said NO! that's your drone you did what you said you would so keep that one ,then if I need help you can guide me . I said I feel like your getting the short end of the stick . He said that's what I want , I said OK you've got it . Many drones later I bought the Avata and it is my dream drone
I'm still a flying camera guy but with the Avata I can do things that are impossible with other drones even most FPV drones . Check out my last upload to see what I'm talking about . If I were into riping I would love the IF . Does it have the option to altitude hold ? I might get one . I have give

Just wait you'll have a soldering iron really soon then you'll become an addict with building and becoming what you never thought you'd become. I love acro I've never played a Sims. Just stayed in horizon mode
I actually have a soldering iron as I have built and raced RC cars. Building a quad just seemed to have a steeper learning curve. I plan to build one eventually. Thanks for watching!
