How can I stop syncing photos from my iPhone to my iPad and vice versa SOLVED

- This simple solution won't take you any more than 10 seconds and it will stop syncing photos between your iPhone and iPad and vice versa.

I’m very confused, none of these options are shown in the latest updates, so I have no idea what to press. Please help.

I deleted all my photos from my iPad and they all ended up deleted on my phone. Notes too -_- can’t get them back

Go to settings> make sure iCloud Photo Library is off as well as the my photo stream

Go to settings on iPad, click on name at top, click on iCloud, turn off iCloud.

I want to keep all my original id and some apps, andmove them across and sync them but i dont want to sync over my 9000 or so photos! Whats my best solution? I went to do this on both Ipad and IPhone, and when I toggle the "Upload to My Photo Stream" button, another message comes up on both saying this if go through with it, all photos in my photo stream will be deleted. I'm not willing for that to happen and will continue searching for the proper solution. Thank heavens that warning message came up in both places!
Mercy Me it’s fine! It only means the picture that you have taken on your iPad for example, that got synced to your phone will be deleted... you still have the photos on your iPad!
Do you also know how to unsyc the apps?

Both devices “upload photo stream” is OFF... but it still is syncing... help 😓😩
Josip Tumapa has the same issue just turn “my photo stream” off if you don’t want them to show on your iPad from your phone and select delete it will take them completely off your iPad hope this helps

hey! I have this problem with my mac, and not my iPdad. All my photos from my iPhone upploads to my mac. I do not have the photostream thing enabled, but it still happens. Do you know how I can fix it?:)

I’ve got similar problem with my Mac. I used to like “photo stream” because photos (only photos) were downloading straight to my Mac. Whenever I wanted to save my videos on my Mac I was just plugging the cable and transferred them. But since new Apple file type system, I ended up with duplicates on my Mac. That’s because of photo stream. It is so so so annoying. I don’t speak English well and I can’t explain exactly. Anyway I called Apple care and couldn’t find solution because they told me it’s an iPhone ‘s problem and not an iMac’s one. They prompt me to my carrier but they didn’t find a solution either.

Can someone please help me? I have an iPad 10.2 and an iPhone 7 and every time I delete a picture or take one it appears on both devices. I connected my phone to my iPad and now I regret it. I tried disabling messages but it didn’t work and I have the same Apple id on both devices. Please help ☺️

So suppose I wanted one or two photos from my iPhone sent to my iPad, without it happening to every picture. Is there a way? My iPhone and and tablet have the same Apple ID(prob an obvious statement).
I like to take pictures of my car and edit them but I’m a procreate user on specifically the iPad and not the iPhone, so I would prefer to find a way to send only certain photos to my iPad so I could edit them on Procreate, but definitely not every screenshot I ever take
I mean there’s a good old sending them to yourself on Facebook and then re-download them on the new device, but what a pain compared to the idea of the iCloud

Turning off iCloud shouldn’t do anything from the standpoint of deleting your photos off of iCloud, you just won’t have access to those photos on your iPhone/iPad. You can always turn that back on in your settings.

Is there anyway to get the lost photos? On my iPad, I didn’t know my photos were connected and I deleted photos from my phone in my iPad. Is there anyway to get them back? Someone please let me know.. I lost a lot of photos that were important to me :(
