Took my wife and I a hour and felt like a 5 minute run down. Beautiful views all round. We were there in '99 in December wouldn't dare walk barefeet on that hot sand.
Dead Vlei at Sossusvlei in Namibia and Kubu Island in Botswana are two of the most spiritual places on earth. I have visited both of them many times and cannot get enough of them. If you are a photographer you will make stunning pictures to hang in your home.
You guys stopped under the same tree, I stopped under in October. The road between Swakop and Solitaire was shocking, to say the least. We managed to do Swakop, Solitaire, down to Rietoog in a day, but it was hectic. Thanks for the stunning visuals. The Deadvlei is my favourite place on the planet... thanks guys, Safetravels
Thank you! You realise how important those trees are! I think many people use the few trees next to the road. The road to walvis/Swartkopmund is still horrible, the corrugation is an absolute nightmare 😳
Niice. One of the best I've seen of Sossusvlei. It gives you a proper idea of the terrain. I once experienced the singing sand in the Sahara Desert. Its very eerie. Well done. Loving your series.
Wow, wow, wow🥳this is flippen awesome. The more I see, the more I dream about the Namib. Just a question, why the beans, doesn't the KTM's have enough power 😂? Sjo stay save guys, this delay in videos coming is not nice 😊
🤔 Ha, now I know where my old British forces compo tin opener form 50year ago disappeared to, still looking foe a replacement to take on my motocamping tours 😕 🤣
Your videos keep getting better guys. Thanks for all the work you put into it. I realize that the videos are posted with some delay, but during which month did you shoot it ?
Thank you! 😁 This was was February I think. We struggled finding strong enough WiFi to upload (and editing) so they are a few months behind now 🙈. Only way we can ensure regular uploads

We took so many photos in the very short amount of time we had, definitely hanging some of them if we ever get a home :)
The dunes looked like a movie set for sci-fi movie. And it looked like a lot of fun!
It was such a strange landscape! Will indeed be great in a movie. We were glad we climbed the dune, made is very fun
The Deadvlei, was used as the movie set for the movie "The Cell" featuring Jlo

Thank you! Very nice compliment! The singing was an extra treat, werner experienced it before but u (Cissy) never did. It was unexpected
You should have taken some ski with you... 😁
That would have been a lot of fun, not so sure about dragging them up there though 😅

I'm curious! Was the walk up Big Daddy 45-mins or 1-hr and 45-mins? Werner's decision to accept Cissy's time shows you have a great marriage
Thank you 😊 the walk was 45 min luckily!
