I must admit.. This thing is extremely cool!!! Spraying out a garage door quickly is the perfect application for this thing! After being frustrated with my Graco ultra handheld I can see the clear advancements this unit has made over it. I'm also extremely excited at the 106 and 408 fflp tips. FINALLY!

this might be perfect for what we need, about 4 x a year we paint some furniture we buy for us or for gifting but our 5 gal compressor sucks and a fuji hvlp was going to be our 1st choice, We don't use it enough to get a bigger graco and the fuji hvlp is limiting, but this is nice.
For sure, sounds right up your alley! We used it quite a bit for furniture priming and top coat, also handles stains and lacquers incredibly well. I think you'll be stoked with the investment.
The funny part about this sprayer is it looks like a Graco pro shot and anyone who's used a pro-shot knows you got a hold of it upside down to get it to run right so instead of fixing the problem Graco embraces it😅
Awesome video man. Ive been a sprayer for 20 years. Industrial and commercial. This seems like a cool little tool. Where did you get the little masking paper tool? Handy bit of kit. Respect from scotland 🏴
I looked into this unit and would probably love it. I own some rental properties and paint a house maybe every 5-8 years so this doesn't look cost effective for me. For someone who paints every day, could be a good investment, Great video though.
I was tempted by one of these but I did some research and spoke to my paint supplier yesterday, he said he has had loads of the battery Graco sprays guns returned with faults. Nice video mate👍🏻
Hey Jason, that's interesting! Here in Australia we've had a very, very minor amount of returns or faults with the QuickShot. Your paint supplier might be referring to the Graco Ultra & Ultra Max handheld series which is in its second generation now, with a lot of faults that have been corrected. I hope that provides some clarity. Here in Aus, we back the units 110%!
Josh, i hope you're well, mate. I've picked up one of these machines myself. I'm looking forward to spraying doors, door frames, and window frames with it, primarily in an acrylic based paint for trim. I'm just curious, have you tried using enamel paint through it? And if so, how did it spray?
Is this like my ultramax where it needs a new pump every 200litres of paint, that’s the main problem with the handhelds, I think the GXFF battery operated machine is the best thing they sell.
Can someone help me out? I'm trying to decide between this and the 390 pc cordless. I've got plenty of small jobs but some large. Good news is I could compartmentalize the large ones if needed. The price difference is only about $300, I like the quickshot for the design and portability. Is there even a comparison though? What's the largest job you could do with each?
Hi from the UK.. intrigued by this, it'll be interesting to see how the pump holds up after countless complaints about the other handheld pumps... fingers crossed!
@@GOIndustrial awesome, that's good to know, I hear some people were barely getting 30L with the other handhelds 👍🏼 I've currently got the GXFF but had been keen for a smaller unit for smaller tasks, quicker clean up etc. This one is pricey at the mo though, hope it comes down a bit after release
@@OZStuOZ don’t hold your breath. You get the odd deal on items that aren’t as popular eg the 110v 390. But even the ultras are still holding their money even though people moan about them. The key with this unit is whether the 2nd gen triax pump can be retro fitted to the ultras. If you want one then buy one. Be an early adopter and get ahead of the game. I’m probably going to spend a few more quid and get the cordless gxff - I like the idea of being able to service and interchange guns etc
@@xxnonstopdancingxx I've just looked, here in the UK the handheld cordless handheld Ultra is £648, this new one estimated at £1,176... A difference of £528! 😳 hell of a jump! Not keen when companies do this, makes them seem greedy in my opinion. They better hold up well if that's the price point! I've got the GXFF, since I bought it, that's jumped up in price, not far off the cordless price now, so yeah I'd go down that route if I was to buy it again 👍🏼
@@OZStuOZ I want a cordless to go with my big pump. It looks like GXFF then. I suspect that the finish will be a bit better than this quick shot and all in all it’s only a few hundred more. Maybe thats what they want me to think 🤔
nice review. Hope Josh wears a mask when he's not Youtubing. Interested in the electronic gun. Tired of spits. Might wait for the gun tech to be put on a bigger machine. Not sure about attaching my material to myself.
@Christian Parks sherwin williams got one too. 500 discount. Just finished a spraying trim for $1800 so paid itself on a days work so happy with it. Recommend 👌
The QuickShot would be a great unit for cupboards and uPVC doors/windows. However, if you're striving for the ultimate level of control and best finish quality, I'd highly recommend our Graco FinishPro HVLP range. HVLP in comparison to airless sprayers are a lot slower, and use a high volume of air at a very low pressure (9.5 PSI versus 2000 PSI on the QuickShot) to finely atomise paint. If you're hybrid painting and new to optimise speed/production over the finish quality, the QuickShot is a great unit for this. You can achieve an extremely nice finish with the Fine Finish Low Pressure tips; however HVLP will still outperform the airless finish. It's purely up to preference and your job scope! If you're going through volume cupboards, doors and windows, go with the QuickShot. If you're happy to take your time and get the maximum results - go with the Graco FinishPro HVLP (9.5 ProContractor is my personal recommendation).
We will be putting together a video soon on stenciling for line marking! At this stage, with water-based road marking coatings, we're confident the Ultra QuickShot will be suitable. The Ultra Max Handheld has typically worked in the past for these applications, and given the performance of the QuickShot, we have confidence it'll do the trick!
Hello just want ask this machine is spitting paint when start spraying? Also how the finish is ? If comparing with an air pistol how different is? Thanks !
There's no spits due to the electronic trigger, no mechanical moving parts produce similar spits you'd find in the likes of a Contractor gun on a typical airless unit. The finish is fantastic with the combination of very minimal pulsation, paired with the Fine Finish Low Pressure tips. Very different to convenentional, or air-driven handpieces however. Airless is best for architectural coatings and substrates, whereas conventional/air still has its place for automotive, and very high-end finishes due to having a fair volume of air being used to atomise the paint. Airless is purely pressure driven - so it delivers a nice thick coater, super fast, but can sometimes lack that finish quality in comparison to HVLP and conventional paint sprayers.
Airless tech isn't ideal for spraying automotive finishes. Airless is the fastest and will apply the thickest coat out of the spray technologies, but won't deliver the finish that you'd be used with conventional and HVLP spraying. I'd highly recommend our Graco FinishPro HVLP range if you're still looking for compactness!
It's well balanced and surprisingly comfortable - if you're spraying for any longer periods of time, we'd look at upgrading to a leather builders belt.
Graco has chosen to partner with DeWalt for their lineup of battery powered airless sprayers - I don't see any alternative power tool brands manufacturing an airless sprayer of this capability in the near future!
The sprayer is so God damn loud, I was shocked how noisy it is, good tool to have in the bag but your going to wake the dead, kinda sounds like the 1st battery operated super soaker's from the 90's
If they use the old pump like Graco ultra max in this device, this will be a problem 😢 Because you can paint 🎨 maximum1000 meters, then the pump will not work correctly and you must buy the new one. I change 4 pump in my ultramax already😢 and all the people who work with ultramax ,they said that it's very bad device because of the pump. The price 2k$ and the old pump is too expensive I think.
Now if only they thought to make a bigger hopper or even one you wear as a backpack...................................................................... then they might have actually made something useful.
