I remember when my brother had one of these when we were collecting around 5 or 6 years ago, it stayed spray painted black for a good 3 years ahah it was just too daunting a project for a 14 year old
It was pretty daunting when it was all in front of me, it's amazing what a kick up the butt having several thousand people waiting for a video is, haha

Hey guys I'm just love your vids, and I'm have a small idea, here in Spain a group of people unite to make 3d prints to make covers for masks in hospitals.... I don't know how in England will be but here govement say one thing and people live another different (for example médics don't have enough resources) so I think that probalbly if you guys or you know people "arrond you" or close to make that 3d prints probalbly helps a lot in your hospitals and stuff.... Just please stay alive becuz I'm luv you both so much XD this is one of my favorite minis channel ^^

Sidenote: I love your battle reports and they are a big part of why i started to play and build my own army.
We may end up doing that! There might be shouting and tears, but to be honest, that would probably make it quite entertaining to watch.

if you pause at 13:54, that rippled, worn look that the tape gives the armour panels is actually sweet. i wonder if you could rely on the tape to actually hold, or if it would work on surfaces that were more flat like most armour panels.
It really looks like an angry grandma armored with kitchen bits. Amazing painting effects though. Lots of love and luck to Penny!

I've always wanted a stompa but could never shake the feeling that i could just bodge one together. Orks are an awesome army that way, you can just build away and not worry about making it look pretty, symmetrical or polished.
That being said yours turned out great! Can't wait to see it in combat! (Seems Ant has plenty of time to prepare a response)

I've built a few titans for all the 40K armies, but I built them from scratch decades ago.
Nice to see that they made some kits that are harder to assemble than IKEA furniture.

So it's a glamour stealthy massive destruction machine. I definitely like it.
I love this paint scheme
With the low contact areas of plastic for glueing, try shaving down little bits of sprue and melt it down on something not plastic with plastic cement, then apply cement on each part, then add the sprue gloop, then squeeze together. Doesnt always work, but when it does its golden👌

Great result... I have never used stripping as a substitute for highlighting / drybrushing but always used it for weathering. That looks like a 2in1 method, will certainly try this...

Firstly, much appreciation for Penny and all her NHS colleagues and gratz to Guy on going full time.
We're not on full lock down here yet but it's only a matter of time. In anticipation I went and liberated a lot of my unpainted orks from my dads attic including the stompa I got when they first came out, so this is a timely video for me! Mine's assembled in pretty much the same sub assemblies so thankfully I don't need to revisit the horrors of that rulebook!

@@MidwinterMinis I went into town yesterday, all of the "non essential" shops had shut of their own accord but our local games store was still open! I couldnt believe it but ran in and stocked up on some of my most used colours

Build this beast for a friend, not to long ago.The instructions are as you say useless. Had to do a lot of work removing seams. But very impressive to behold in the end.
when the first apocalypse book came out, but before the stopa model was released, i made 2 of them out of balsa wood that almost looked like the model. (was a little fat) the local GW shop was shocked.

Really love this. Makes me want to build and paint Ork armies, but I have three Chaos Knights to work on. Though I have to say the weathering demonstration was very inspiring.
It would probably be easier to scratch build this guy out of a Mr. Potatohead than to assemble with this instruction ;D Massive props for taking on a project like that!

That is a sneaky Stompa
Seeing videos of it when the kit was relatively new and this one. You can see the weat of the injection molding process with the mold lines being so bad and when new they werent like that.
While I love quieter commentary from other TH-cam painters, I also really appreciate your upbeat, energetic brand of commentary.
I see the Orks raided the 3rd Legion's paint stores.

My Stompa has been mostly built and partially converted and just sat on the shelf of shame for... Actually I'm not gonna say... a loooong time.
I lost impetus when I stopped playing regularly. But someday, I'll crack on with it. Maybe when I finally get around to picking up the new Ghazgkull...

I made one of these a month or so back and I think they updated the kit or something because all the parts went together easily without superglue and just plastic cement
