    I still can't understand how one can be soooo amazingly talented. this voice, this music, this lyrics .... this amazing talent. i'm 51 and still completely overwhelmed by this woman and her brother. please, please a lot and more of it. Happier than ever is a fantastic album and the song itself is so perfect. just insane. thanks for that billie and finneas

      Too bad she stopped the video just before the "Directed by Billie Eilish" credit. Many will miss that. She is taking on directing all her videos now, as she has said in a number of interviews that she is so visual with her concepts of her music it is an important part of her artistry.

    I find it disappointing when people criticize others for their choice of words, and the whole concept of labeling parts of the language as profanity, like it is a part of the language others should not use. Well, i guess that's the world they want to live in, but I totally agree with Billie's use of the words she uses. I always remember I liked what George Carlin said, about it. There are no "bad" words. Bad thoughts, bad intentions, but no bad words (from his routine "The seven words you can't say on television").

      Honestly it’s annoying, I saw a girl do a cover and it was great she just didn’t use curse words and someone said they liked it more since she “could express herself without using cuss words” which to me made no sense, cuss words help people express and idk why people look down on others for using them.

    • @IceMetalPunk

      @@user-do4gd2mt4o Fun fact: there have been multiple scientific studies on the topic, and in contrast to the usual belief that "cuss words are a crutch for people who can't express themselves any better", it turns out that people who curse more tend to have *larger* vocabularies than others. Almost as if people who curse a lot do so because they understand that the point of language is to communicate both thoughts and emotions; and while some situations require a "you're a jerk", others required a "fuck you, bitch" to truly communicate the extent of how you feel 🙂 So go ahead and curse the fuck out of your language: science backs you up on that.

    Very nice reaction. The beginning part is actually a nylon string spanish guitar that Finneas likes and uses often. For those of us that have seen her documentary we know the lyrics reflect her real life. The documentary is wonderful. I listened to the album as soon as it released and I watched all the lyric videos; personally I find having the lyrics in front of me helps me understand what she is trying to convey. So I had heard this song without the mv because it didn't release until several hours later and the video added to the intensity of the song. She also performed it live for the Jimmy Fallon late night show and I was curious how that intensity would translate live. But I feel they did a great job bringing "rock" to the performance.

    There is a video out there of behind the scenes. Of course Billie produced this video, and it shows some of what she did to make this video. Impressive.

    I like your reaction/review a lot!! I did read [ I can't recall where ] FINNEAS said that when another word is available in place of the "f" word, they use it, but for this particular song, the "f" word was the right one to get at the emotion in the song. I have Billie's CD's and when I listen in my car, I do not need any "visual aid" - when heard without a music video, songs like "Bury A Friend", "Bad Guy" et. al. are terrific songs on their own. This video, too, directed by Billie is so well done - but the song is incredible all by itself - I like your observations on that. It's interesting that the song is 4:58 long and by my calculations, the change begins on the acoustic guitar at 2:29 - many people wished Billie had done an album like the 2nd 2:29 - how may artists/singers could pull together the two halves into one - I believe - incredible song. Peggy Lee and Julie London get pulled into Billie's modern rock world. Thanks!

      Honestly, I don't like the idea of replacing "fuck" when "another word is available". I think a better motto is, "if you're feeling like 'fuck them', then say 'fuck them'." Censoring your language only serves to repress your true thoughts and emotions.

    I just watched this again last evening. I [a 68 yr. Billie admirer] think Billie's terrific, but the "LOST CAUSE" music video, I would throw out - you're absolutely right about that. Also, on July 27, 2022, Billie sang Peggy Lee's "FEVER" at the Hollywood Bowl in a tribute to Frank Sinatra and Peggy Lee with the Count Basie Orchestra. She also sang a duet with Debbie Harry (of Blondie fame) on Peggy Lee's "Is That All There Is" (a fun, light-hearted tune). To prepare (for viewing Billie on You tube) I drove a 190 miles southwest into North Dakota to the Peggy Lee Museum in Wimbledon, North Dakota - what a treat, some of her dresses from different concerts or eras, a California "FEVER" license plate - tons of memorabilia. She had an abusive step-mother and a hard early life, but she overcame it in stunning fashion. Billie also sang a year ago (Oct. 29&30, 2021) for Danny Elfman's "The Nightmare Before Christmas" - Billie sang "Sally's Song" - as you know, many have [Amy Lee, Catherine Ohara, Helene Bonham Carter - Billie, I believe, triumphed, in both concerts; one sees Billies versatility and you wonder, "will Billie do a Jazz album one day". I sure wish you would react to/review one or more of those performances. You would enjoy them very much. Or enjoy them on your own! Tristan Paredes reacted to "Sally's Song" and somebody reacted "FEVER" - can't recall who. I thought for sure I would see more reactors/reviewers cover Billie's tribute - perhaps people never heard about it.

    I loved what you said about old hollywood meeting girl next door with glam set vs t-shirt. Also, I also thought her use of the vernacular was so effective. One thing about watching the song with the video: Billie has said that she considers herself first a visual artist and that was what came first for her...the images. Anyway, really enjoyed your reaction. Thanks :)

    @4:42, The set n everything else, Billie produced herself and then took it to her team!💞 I can only wish I will be THAT good should I EVER make a career singing like I've wanted since I can remember! But I seriously doubt that'll EVER happen for ME!😰 Maybe if my big brother was still with us..as we used to make music together like Billie and Finneas do...I've always wrote songs n "poetry" , he'd make the music to 'em..n I'd sing it n we'd record our sessions...but that WAS BEFORE he was murdered! I promised him on his deathbed I'd keep going for our DREAMS...but nobody will HELP ME?!?! Because I'm not at all wealthy, and because I'm a "nobody'😪 FML!!😰 The reason I HAVE TO/ NEED TO get help is because I stopped for quite awhile...it was like he "took" the 🎼🎵🎶🎧🎹 etc... with him💔😭🎤 But I am here now and I will not stop until I get some HELP fr someone that's like myself n helps me like I HELP all of the homeless, etc etc etc...ALL OF THE TIME, even when it's my last dollar..because that's JUST ME...ty sooo VERY much! Just for 'listening' to my rant...I apologize!💔😭🙏👼👍

    Overall a good reaction, but I found your use of "ASMR" terminology distracting. That's because, as you may not know, ASMR is not an aesthetic or technical category of the arts but a marketing term coined by people who provide aural services online and did not want to be confused with hookers who also advertised the same services. Even so, youtube by default tags all ASMR content as adult. Hearing an adult like you use such inappropriate language for a non-adult artist shows a careless disconnect between your words and their meanings.

      It’s my understanding that Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response is a pleasant physical sensation (not usually sexual) induced by sounds such as whispering, that can often cause synesthesia, something Billie has herself talked about having. If there is anything inappropriate about it, it is not the usual meaning, and I did not use it in any sexual or adult sense.

    • @isaiahestradaa
      @isaiahestradaa 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@MichalTowberVocalCoaching there isn’t any sexual meaning behind asmr ❤️

    • @vp4744
      @vp4744 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MichalTowberVocalCoaching The sexual reference comes from the use of the acronym ASMR itself, especially on youtube. Even if you've not meant it sexually, the terminology is grossly inappropriate. Words don't match your intent. There is a disconnect, both in your video and in your response to my comment.
      Billie's synesthesia has nothing to do with the tinging arousal of ASMR. You are wrong about Billie speaking about ASMR. Synesthesia is a medical condition. ASMR is advertising for joi and bj.
      Lyricists like Billie are very careful with words and meanings and not wanting to sexualize or penalize her with adult themes. Nearly every song on the album is a variation of this fear.
      I thought being an "Emmy winning singer" would clue you in.
