ABOUT…
I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?

When she starts to play that ukelele, it reminded me of something like you would hear out of the 30s. The tone of her voice, and how she enunciated words was just magical.

Who else now needs Billie to do a full ukulele cover of I Will? Her voice was such a perfect fit for that song.
I haven't listened to "I will" - I'll need to do that. Have you heard 16 yr old Billie's cover [with Finneas beautifully harmonizing] of Michael Jackson's "Bad" for Triple J [Australian radio station] "Like a Version" (Feb 18, 2018) - the cover is amazing, but that Billie and Finneas would have the "musical" imagination to cover Michael Jackson in this way blows my mind.
Soooo emotional! This really shows how Billie is emotionally tied to her songs. It’s so moving. I’m also amazed at how soft her voice sounds. I’m a fan of the stack of hats on your shelf. Is it replacing “elf on a shelf”? Hugs to RVA and Suki. #freehugs #coolhats #grabatissue

What I LOVE about Billie is her ability to connect in a way that so few artists can or even attempt. What is most astounding is that she does it without trying. We just get sucked in to her. Pair that with a voice that is BEYOND and you have a true artist!!!
finneas wrote the song ocean eyes, and it just didn't work with his voice, so he gave it to billie to try and it fit her voice perfectly. it ended up blowing up on soundcloud/TH-cam

at a tribute to Frank Sinatra and Peggy Lee at the Hollywood Bowl [July 27, 2022] Billie covers Peggy Lee's "FEVER" - Billie could do a Jazz album! She also sang a duet with Debbie Harry of Blondie fame, as they sang Peggy Lee's "Is That All There Is" - 20 yr old Billie and 77 yr old Debbie Harry [since I still listen to Blondie songs, I can't believe Debbie Harry is 77] - it was awesome!
There's nothing like experiencing the artists passion so deeply...... I teared up during the whole last song. Very few artists have impacted me like that moment
I loved this so much. Seeing her so happy and free and vulnerable just letting herself be in the moment and experience her own music was beautiful....
You have to watch Billie & Alicia Keys live on James Corden doing "Ocean Eyes", so good!

I love how much Billie feels her own music. There is so much emotion. She is brilliant
I agree - her COLORS live songs "idontwannabeyouanymore" and "Watch" are so good because you see the music moving through her - that happens with Billie all the time. There's all kinds of examples but her MAHOGANY session "COPYCAT" is awesome. I realize Billie is a visual artist and her synesthesia moves her to see music in images; I do believe that many of her Music Videos are works of art, but even so for me, they distract (almost detract) from the music itself. I consider myself a 68 yr old superfan, who lives in the middle of nowhere, so I listen to her 3 CD's in my car all the time along with Mozart or Bach or Phoebe Bridgers and others; I still look at the music videos now and then, but I definitely prefer songs without the videos with 1 exception - "Hostage" a phenomenal music - it completely (for me) fits the lyrics and music.
This is one of the best Carpool Karaoke episodes i've ever watched. It was incredibly intimate and Billie was so completely herself...it was a beautiful thing to watch. I felt I had been invited into something really personal. I totally identified with how Rebecca felt whilst watching this. Goosebumps all over! X
I love the fact that she recorded all of her songs in her brothers bedroom in the house she grew up in.
Billie is sooooooo exquisitely vulnerable and evocative and talented. I don't think I've ever felt so much admiration for a singer before. And that says a lot because I'm in my fifties and grew up amidst the live music scene in Houston in the 70's around a lot of professional musicians/singers and was surrounded by music and rehearsals, which nurtured a love that I carried across the decades of my life. Billie is one of a kind.
It`s the second time I see Rebeca getting emotional this way. The first time was during Shallow performance in Oscar 2018. Today, we`ve got emotional together... Billie is amazing as well as her brother, Finneas. And I hope she continues following this path (familiar, creative, no drugs and sharing her talent with us)

Harry Conic Jr. Said once on American Idol that the big voice high production has it's values but nothing will ever compare to the raw intimacy of an artist baring the soul with their audience. She is giving that back to us. There are certain many talented vocalists currently in the game for her generation but she's able to pare it down while still giving her audience a fantastic experience.

Billie is like nobody I’ve ever heard. I really hope fame and the music industry doesn’t destroy her. They will unknowingly try. Her music, lyrics, and voice are definitely the most original and beautiful I have ever heard. Her childhood was cut short, her adolescence was never experienced, and now her adulthood will be controlled by the industry. Please Billie, lash out, don’t conform, and do everything by your heart.

I have watched several of Rebecca's reaction videos, and her ability to understand and mimic what the singer is doing with their voice, tone, and enunciation is amazing. Sometimes, she will sing for a minute along with the vocalist she is reacting to, and she is always spot on in key. She has a really great ear for music.

It’s a super long video (like an hour) but she did some beautiful acoustic renditions of her songs at the Steve Jobs theatre (I think?) and I’d love to see you react to them. It’s fascinating seeing the way they translated them to the acoustic sound. Also, congrats on 666k 😂❤️❤️

I am normally not a fan of "reaction" videos; however, (without boring you with details of my piano/vocal training[I outgrew my "teacher's" ability quickly]) it is an absolute joy to see your videos. You are so on point with your analysis of vocalists that I wish I had, had the opportunity to train with you as a child...not possible though...i'm now 41 lol. I love your reaction to her ukulele performance at about 5 minutes! it's so endearing, and I can tell you truly love what you do. ...And not to step on this video, but the video of Brendon Urie reacting to your reaction of him is amazing. I wish you the best, as I believe you are truly talented at both performing and most likely teaching. Side note: who the hell downvotes these videos? I'm guessing jealous people...don't ever stop! Billie nearly cried twice during that from singing her songs. The 3rd Uke song had me frozen, as Rebecca mentions the vulnerability is incredible. Also so personal yet everyone feels it. She's got that thing that sets artists aside from others. Loved it.

My first time seeing or hearing Billie Eilish was a reaction video 'Irish Priest reacts to Billie Eilish' or something like that...When the Party's Over was the one that made me go "By the gods, this is amazing! Who IS this girl??"
After re-watching a couple of Billie's videos directly, I finally watched this one...the carpool karaoke with James Corden. This was the video that made me realize that Billie is just an awesome person. Her actually taking James to HER HOME(!!) lounging around in her bed, introducing him to her MOM of all people! And her spider...heh. But just being so real. How many other celebrities have YOU seen take James to their home? Anyone? No. Only Billie. She's the best, that's all there is to it.
How is it possible to resist moving to music like that!
There is something in music that reaches down into us and forces response. I don't know what I would do without music :(
EDIT 1: If I found myself in traffic along side them, I would keep pace to the detriment all all others on the road.
EDIT 2: This actually has happened to me. One time I was cranking AC/DC _Shoot To Thrill_ at a VERY, VERY high volume in my car on the highway. Took a minute or so, when I noticed a car right along side and would keep pace. Lemme tell ya, I was master air-musician extraordinaire of drums, guitar, bass & vocals and they were cracking up :)
