@@HomesteadCorner THANK YOU so much Jenny !!!! I'm used to Presto/ All American and it just scares me.... Don't want to blow ANYTHING up lol God Bless you and your family from middle GA 🙏
Oh. For. YUM!! I made southern fried cabbage, onion & bacon with homemade French fries for dinner tonight. Cabbage is THE BEST, it keeps so well in your fridge, I almost always have one on hand. I’ve never canned ANYTHING, but I love your recipes, and I LOVE soups & stews, so I would make this in a NY minute 😋 then I’d freeze any leftovers we did not eat in a few days. I love leftovers, because it always tastes even better the next day 😄
Really enjoyed your video thank you so much for showing us how to do that appreciate it a bunch God bless you take care hope you have a wonderful and a very blessed rest of the week
I have done them in quarts, sadly, my family doesn't love this.. So I now can them in pints so there isn't any waste. I eat about 1/2 a pint over some rice, and keep the rest in the fridge for up to a week...
Do you have problems getting your pink salt to dissolve? I can with it too, but it remains full grained in the jar, even after pressure canning. Then its kinda gritty.
I have had that a few times... I don't usually add the full amount of salt though, so if I have any that doesn't devolve it just feels like I salted after.
I want to do canning like this but dont know what to get I see you have a pressure cooker I dont have one of those I been only canning dry foods..I really want to start with this soup..what cookware do I need to purchase.

Looks great
My food saver came yesterday, 2 days early :)
Nice! Do you use a couple jars to feed your family? Have you done them in quarts ? I’m definitely going to make this..Thanks.

Interesting.. my hubby doesn't like it but I do
I like my onion and pepper cooked with the meat too.
I was getting excited, I wanted to try this but I cant , I only have a waterbath canner
Did you put hot food into cold jars?
Can chopped chicken be used instead of beef? Thanks for the recipe looks good.
Sure, you could use any meat you like. 😉
Do you add rice? My mom did and it was delish!
I don't add it while canning, it gets pretty mushy, but I do love to toss some in when I heat it up. 😋

Yes, you would need a pressure canner, I do have a video explaining equipment for beginners. 💕🇺🇲 th-cam.com/video/o-BwCdi1rX4/w-d-xo.html
Do you order your pink Himalayan salt?
I try to grab it when they have it at dollar tree, but if I can't find it there, I do order the Ancient Oceans 5 lbs bag. amzn.to/35KcXqR
@@HomesteadCorner thanks Jinne. Our dollar tree is on the other side of town. Once I get home from work...never happens lol
