I'm glad you liked it. You recommended these books and I consumed them all in little time. You still have one more to read I think, looky you. Now i have to wait like 6 or 7 more months, in order to get the next one. Months of suffering, thanks.
In the middle of book 8 of toll the hounds. Picked up this audio book of bastion and am now on last rock. Still love Malazan. But the audio book just had me listening like 3-4 hours a day. Sort of the rewarding stuff of fantasy that really gets me psyched. Curious about the cradle series and other progression stuff. It excites me when I read smaller authors who knock my socks off
I just finished this book as well and started the series based on your exposure of it. I really enjoyed it and found the progress to the end fun once it got going. Some of the issues were samey but I liked seeing how they played out. I feel like I’m at a good stopping point for more books, I think he said 5-6 of them. I want to read the next one but it almost seems like I can wait for the next step of the journey.
At what point did the book started getting better for you? I would assume around the gold part, but I liked it all the way through so not sure. My only problem is that because of this book I have a extremely hard time trusting any human characters. It feels like it's our favorite duo vs the world. Really looking forward for the 3rd book review!
Is there a list of self published ebooks anyone where would recommend? I just got an e reader and would love to try to read things I can’t find at my local library - free or not. Thank you in advance
Mostly repeating what Matt said in the video but if you didn't make it to the turning point about 25-30% of the way through then I would highly recommend trying again. If you haven't gotten past Scorio returning to the Fiery Shoals for the second time, I would give it another go.
Matt- From a fellow Lit-RPG fan, I am caught up on this series. It just keeps getting better. You’re gonna love it!

I binged all the books on audiobook. So good
Awesome to hear, Bastion got a little sloggy in the middle but finished strong. Excited to get to this one!!
just finished book 3 and its as long as book 1 with WAY better pacing. It's so good, so much stuff happening

Yes, the gold part and the events that immediately led up to it.
Started this one a couple days back. Fun series so far.
If anyone is in the UK, all 3 books are free today on the Kindle.. I'm not sure why, but I'm not complaining!
I have read this book and loved it too, the whole series is good.
wait until you get to book 3, shit goes HARD. its as long as the first book, but has SO much better pacing

If I didn’t like bastion then should I bother? Bastion didn’t feel like there was much depth to me
No. Don’t read it. I loved it but I also loved book 1.
Honestly matt if you felt this way about book 2 you have to clear your schedule. Book 3 is the best one. And much darker.
That's amazing, can't wait!
You told me on patron this was a real review and not a fake one but I still got got when it in fact was a real review
Stay tuned next time for "Is this a real review or not"
“No spoilers. Let me just tell you what the plot twist is…”
I didn't spoil anything beyond the first 5 pages of the first book lol
I couldn’t finish this book, it didn’t resonate with me at all.
