This might genuinely be the best car all around car Forza has added. Widebody, different styles of Forza aero, cool custom parts, the fitment is amazing, the advanced painting groups doesnt get rid of the cool stripe like it does for most cars and instead lets you color it, and it drives well??? Huge W and this car is absolutely beautiful, I'm obsessed now
Now they just need to let us change the exhaust bc this would look so good with a bigger one

I honestly love the VW SP2. SInce I was a kid, I always dreamed of having a SP2 because they are extremely cool. Nowadays, they are really expensive here in Brazil. If I had the money, I would 100% buy one of these things. Back in the day, VW had this weird obsession with the VW Beetle chassis so almost every air cooled of that era is based on the Beetle chassis. If you go down the rabbit hole, you will find things like the SP2, Beetle, Brasilia, Variant, Type 3, Karmann Ghia, Kombi and a bunch of other cars that used the same engine or even chassis. I would love to see more VW's of this era being added in Forza. FH4 already has the Type 3 and the Karmann Ghia so I wouldn't be mad seeing they recycling these cars.
I've also loved the SP2 for years! Unfortunately it's even harder for me to get one in Australia. I'd love to see an OEM+ restored one some day

I first learned about the SP2 when Hot Wheels made a diecast version of the car, alongside other Brazilian market vehicles like the Brazilia and Brazilian Charger.
Even as someone in Canada, I’ve heard of this car. It is one of the most desirable Volkswagens ever made it may be just my personal opinion, aside from the G series like the G40 polo or the G60 golf and Corrado and Passat this car is up there on the list when it comes to collectable Volkswagen, so it’s almost impossible to miss as a car enthusiast
The prettiest VW ever. Here in Brazil, obviously, it's an icon in car meets. Fun fact, maybe. It's been exported to collectors all over the world. Other large exported car is the Brasilia.

It's great as a Brazilian to hear more about some Brazilian cars. We had a very limited market for ages, and we pay the price of a Mustang for a Renault Kwid. It's hard being a car guy in Brazil
So nice to see a VW Brasil car in this game! There are so many more HELLA COOL Brazilian-only chevies from that epoch too it'd be so nice to see them added as well

@@felliphemaciel it’s a South America / Mexico themed map IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE BASE GAME especially how when we had a Australian themed map they made sure to have Aussie cars seems kinda racial if you ask me cause that’s definitely not treating people equally why would they think it’s ok to wait years?

VW SP2 is hella underrated, possibly the coolest VW besides the W12 supercar.
I always thought they got rid of cool paint colors because of costs, as it turns out it's mostly because it's a pain to match colors on metal and plastic and they tend to fade differently over the life of the car.

One more thing to add about this car, Nick. There a SP-1 that came before the SP-2, it's the same car with just an slower engine. Wish they add more Brazilian cars beside the Santana and SP-2.
I saw 2 for sale at a restoration shop 5 years ago in Montreal. That shop is specialize on German classic especially on VW . They 50k each but damn those car are nice
This car is phenomenal. But I wonder if now the door has been opened for potentially more Brazilian exclusive cars. I’m a huge Ford fan and there’s a bunch of weird but unique Fords that were made specifically for Brazil like the Brazilian Maverick, (which was a muscle car back then) and some weird trucks like the Ford Troller…

That's literally brazilian creativity. We lived in a military dictatorship for years that close all the imports, so we start to create cars over the Beetle's platform
@@ViniKlaus we have a saying in my country, "Necessity is the mother of invention" and i think that fits very well with what the brazilians went through in times of hardship and dictatorship, i'm so glad it's over, now we should focus on gazans and help them get through the seige that's been forced on them
This is honestly one of my favorite cars added ever in fh5 love the engine swaps looks and accessoires.
I saw some going for 20k here in Brazil. It's definitely up with the best cars produced here. Now they just need to add the Chevrolet Opala and let us build 700hp out of a straight 6 engine!

Gotta be honest, we really need more Brazilians cars in Forza. I would be the happiest man alive if Forza devs added the Chevy Opala and Chevette, Ford Maverick, some Gurgel cars, the VW Parati and Gol, the Fiat Uno and some Puma cars.
You guys should check some Brazilians cars and their history. They are awesome. (I'm kinda biased since I'm Brazilian lol)

@@eriklarson9137 You just did a simple Google search and it shows. All the cars that I mentioned are loved here and they are pretty good. As a matter of fact, all these cars that I mentioned are regularly used (except the Gurgel and Puma because they are rare) because besides being good, they are durable and don't need to go the shop every month unlike foreign cars. Before talking shit about brazilian cars, do some god damn research. These gringos man, I swear to god.

A Brazilian classic, my father has one and used it for running, it is really a wonder to improve and with little it is already fantastic.

With the bodykit and lip etc it kinda looks like a Porsche 911 Carrera rs 2.7 also the rear lights kinda look like them but a bit different. Just a amazing design overall.

in 1979 VW actually sold a slightly facelifted version of the SP2 to asian country, it was called the VW Brasilia.
Actually, VW Brasilia is another car, using basically the same structure, but the Brasilia is more of a 2 doors wagon. SP-2 body was made of fibreglass

After a long time we brazilians get a car on forza. Finally !! (This is disregarding the Santana that comes in the Chinese car DLC that we also have here in Brazil)
Fun fact, this car can do 245 mph in c class. Yeah, just search it the tune was there
also, btw, this car is rare as all hell around herein brazil, and even if you manage to find one get ready to pay the price of a small yacht for it, however, the pumas are pretty common and pretty cheap also, id say its the best car to have for the price if you wanna work on it and drive it
such a shame the haydays of the cool brazilian cars are long gone, these days we only get small econoboxes made to be discarted. except the fiat fastback on the abarth trim, that one is half cool.
