So nice to see you both so relaxed and happy! The big surprise though was seeing June and Louis eating in the truck as you drove. That says so much about their comfort and security. So amazing!
@@IreneIronTravels I credit you guys with the way you introduced them to it and keep them secure. If I ever get another puppy I will definitely copy your technique!
@carmancloud ahhhh thanks! We’re actually pretty glad we’re outta the puppy stage! But, they are so darn cute when they’re young. Are you thinking about getting one?
Regarding highway, traveling on the right is only during certain times of rush hour it is posted on Certain state roads of Massachusetts. Bar Harbor is our magical place.
Love it! We were there two years ago and I did an "afternoon by myself" & took the shuttle to Bar Harbor from the campground. Had the most expensive glass of wine EVER sitting at the little bar in that garden at the inn. So much fun! And yes, taking the shuttle home is the best!
Feel your pain regarding the Garmin RV GPS. We live here in Maine and it tries to send us off on some weird routes. We know the roads but yeah we have trust issues with it. It's so frustrating. We head to Bar Harbor Thursday. We go every year since we live 3 hours away, just love it there!
You guys could totally do a separate foodie channel and I would watch it ! Your food choices and descriptions are top notch ❤ what a fun trip it has been so far !
We spent a week in Acadia in early September. It is a dream for Foodies, with so many great local places to eat. Glad you were able to enjoy some of the best of Maine.
Regarding low bridges, the same route problem happens when navigating between Safford AZ and Globe AZ on state route 70. There is a 13’6” bridge in between so the GPS will not give you that route.
We may have had you beat with blocks under the front end of our 41' Montana in Mt Desert Narrows. Hope you took the ride to Lubec, the eastern most point of the US. BTW, you should have got a full box of those salted caramels. 😂
Great video! We are planning our trip to New England for next year. Bar Harbor is definitely a destination. Thanks for the tips! Have a safe trip! Love you guys.
Bar Harbor is one of our favorite spots! Loved being able to recognize so many of the places you visited! We have only stayed at the KOA there, it has sites with a water view which is a plus for us! After watching this video, I am itching to plan another trip up in the early summer!
Oh nice!!! We really did love the 3 weeks we spent there and it's in the top of all the places we've visited! Glad to hear you're thinking about going back!!
Here in Mass, we call it the breakdown lane. Barharbor Hotel 5 nights $3000.00 including tax. So if you are going there figure at least $2000.00 buying stuff plus meals You are going to spend some cash.
Whew! That is an expensive trip! The RV vacation can certainly help with campgrounds around $100 bucks a night. This one is actually included in our Thousand Trails membership and we didn't have to pay the campground anything for a 3 week stay!
Driving in the breakdown lane is allowed on certain roads, during certain times, in Mass. Usually rush hour. It looked like the people passing you were just being Massholes.
@@IreneIronTravels Certain roads need to be expanded to 4 lanes. RT 3 to NH and RT 93 to NH. Usually they have signs saying when Breakdown use allowed.
I'm at Pumpkin Patch RV park near Bangor Maine....Fantastic place and with Passport American only $135 for 4 nights....Bar Harbor was PACKED! Way too many tourist's. Acadia Vistor's center had ZERO parking so I gave up. But the best Lobster Rolls I've ever had were at the Traveling Lobster about 10 miles from Bar Harbor...GREAT!!!
Thanks for sharing! Yes, the park gets packed around 10am, but if you can ever make it there earlier it helps a ton! We walked the dogs in the park around 7-8 and the park and Bar Harbor didn't get busy till after 9am.
Hi guys, We are at this park right now as i watch this. We have had a great time here. Great park and great spot. Pretty level and a great view of the water. Been planning on coming here for a couple of years. The park shuts down this weekend. I met you guys in Twin Mills in Indiana. We have the painted Solitude and the black and white dog. We'll see you down the road. Jim and Tisha (Soaring Phoenix Travels)
We were driving south to Yuma this year, and the map on my RAM 1500 had us get off the freeway and then get back on. Made no sense. The next time it did that and I just ignored it and the mapping corrcted it self. My best guess it is a glitch in Uconnect.
Another great video on your east coast journey. It is so beautiful there and the joy on your faces made me feel like I was there too. Thanks so much for sharing!!
Do you guys use RV Trip Wizard ? I noticed you mentioned how your travel route goes off some routes just to return…. I’ve travel out of Connecticut to North Carolina and Tennessee and notice it doing the same thing like getting off and exit then get right back on. I’ve left notes on there sites but no update. Thought it just be me but it also happens on my wife’s phone.
So interesting, I’m heading south from ME. I had an OK, but not great, experience in Acadia. I think it’s the difference between having a Class C and a 5er with a truck. I have no regrets for my choice. I understand why Acadia is loved by so many. I just left Cape Cod today. Really enjoyed Province Lands and PTown.
Oh that is interesting! Was it because you had to break camp to go explore every time? We stayed about 10-15 minutes from the park so it was easy to take the dogs in a couple times a week to hike. This was the closest we've stayed to a National Park and the longest.... so I think we really liked the connivence of visiting.
@@IreneIronTravels for me the issue was not being able to park. At 28’ I needed an RV space at the Visitor Center. I circled the parking lot for times before I finally gave up. Operation in the breakdown lane is allowed during commuting hours on certain highways in Massachusetts to alleviate traffic volume.

Which campground? Thanks.

It's called Narrows Too Campground.
