Cal, attach airtags to the cars mate, think would be the cheapest way and atleast can track it.
Maybe get a few AirTags to leave in some of your more high value cars just as a sort of temporary tracker untill the vehicle is sold? In case anything like this happens again

I'm not being that guy blaming the victim Calv, but please get some auto shutters on your entrance gate. When a test drive is arranged you'd have a log of name and addresses with id, and you'd let them out with a fob. I'm so pleased you got it back a few days later when it happened. I remember few years back i went to buy myself a f30 328i the dealer with no hesitation chucked me the keys and said take it for a spin i have a rustler cooking in the microwave 😂😂

This stinks, guys had both sets of keys, no details left for test drive, no log to say what route they'd drive it on and they just give the car back instead of burning it out? It just stinks like viral attempts
Not saying it isn’t a set up but they weren’t given permission to take the car out or given trade plates. They unplugged the battery charger and off they went. What makes me think it was a set up is that they were left unattended with the keys to an expensive car and the rather relaxed approach to it all, I don’t care who you are you’d be a lot more aggravated about the situation than he was.

What car dealer gives keys to a customer unattended, I don't think the insurance would have paid out as it's like when you leave keys in your car they say it's your fault
Plenty if dealers give you the car keys. I got keys to a Range Rover today and had car and keys for ages could easily have driven it away.

Imagine walking into any car dealer in Uk that has a bmw m3 in stock, ask for the keys, have both keys handed to you and just left to do what you want with the M3... not happening 😂
Calvin, you need a different procedure for test drives! Either that, or you get an automatic shutter to stop them from leaving if this happens again. I understand what you’re trying to do at Binca, and I respect it, you make buying a car and viewing it as easy as possible for the customer but there will be those who always abuse your goodness.

A good question is , why do you not have trackers on cars like that, even just until you sell them, cheap call back tracker could have saved a whole lot of driving, even an apple tag

Just thinking Calv....how about changing your in/out security at Binca? Get those one way ramps going in and then a security barrier going out again released in the office. Will be a lot more secure

Glad you got it back Calv. Here in the states the dealer makes a copy of your drivers license usually before they let you take a car out for a test drive. Or they go with you on the test drive.
Honestly bro you have every right and reason to not blur their face, they did this and it cost you your petrol, stress, headache, worry and most importantly time. You should do everything in your power to make sure they will never do it again so I’d say get them to pay for the damages, the petrol they wasted and the miles they put on the top as well as stress fee of £5k extra on that and if they don’t comply then take them to court

Hi Calvin, just seen your video now thanks to TH-cam algorithms and I have also subscribed. TBH if it was me. I would have been fuming, if someone stole my car. Glad you got it back. Interestingly you said you were in Luton, I have an Aunt that lives around that area and we also have family friends also. Also I have visited before, I'm not British. Anyway I have only one tip for you, get some smart tags, Apple has it, Samsung has it, you would have found that M3 way earlier. Put one in every popular turn heads ride you have and voila. Of course, changing your policy on how you handle keys too will help.
I'm glad it all ended positive, but please get some automatic gates fitted! It will give yourself and your brothers peace of mind and make the site more secure 👍

Car keys to be handed over ONLY when positive ID of that person is received as a deposit.
Driving Licence and / or Passport.
Then the entrance / exit bollards can be lowered.

Social media is a power house! Little story my missus left something in the car asked for the keys I said make sure you lock it as my work tools where in the boot! Got in next morning glove box open stuff everywhere! Realised tools gone phoned my boss explained what had happened! 45 minutes later my mum rang me asking if my tools had been robbed I said yes she knew my tool bag from when I did a job at her house! Anyway some rat tried to sell the stuff to a local business they took the stuff and told him to do one and posted it on Facebook! So luckily I go them back! But lol my pool cue went missing but I didn't realise the same rat went into my local trying to sell it for £20 to my best mate who reconised my cue said I'll have it but haven't got any cash on me! Took him outside pretending to get cash out of his car the slapped him up and down the street! 👏👏👍

I'm surprised the keys were handed over with no identity checks. When I test drove a car the garage wanted my driveing licence plus I turned up in my own car.

Mate had his C63 pinched off his drive in Daventry last week. Cloned his keys turned off the auto lights and knew where the gps locator is and disabled that as well

Test drives your going to have to get a member of staff to go with them. Dnt just give the keys out by all means leave the cars open but keep the keys in the office
Would be interesting to have raised bollards at the gates. You arrive they auto go down but to leave you have to be remote buttoned out. Could be a thing to look at maybe.

My bet is these guys are the ones that get sent to get cars. Didn't realise who they stole from and the boss probably found out seen the attention it was bringing them and decided the risk wasn't worth it, so gave it back. I mean, they may have had a change of heart, but i highly doubt it

I feel your pain and did the EXACT same thing when my Focus RS got nicked I went online and then it was spotted around Glasgow so me and a team were out tooled up looking for it cops never bothered 😢😂

Why don't you install a car tracker and car immobiliser on all of your cars ?
No idea how car yard insurance works, but I'm amazed the test driver isn't required to hand over their license and fill out a form with their name, address, contact details, car insurance details (if any), and signature, and I'm amazed your insurance doesn't require you to have car tracker and car immobiliser on all of your cars.
A terrible thing to happen. Your security and procedures needs to be a lot better, not to hand out keys without a staff member being present and yes your gates need to be electric. You seem too relaxed about the whole situation and don't seem to have learnt from previous mis haps!! Hope this changes your outlook. I know a guy who knows a guy 😉 that once missed the bus and was really late for a job interview and right next to the bus stop was a car dealership so he decided to go in and ask to look at a few cars waiting for his chance to drop a gear and disappear 😂 which he actually did and that was a bmw funny enough 🤔😜🤣
