My wife here in NZ would be oohing and aaahing oh how beautiful, not me I was a country village mechanic and remember well 5 year apprenticeship laying in snow hooking up n extracting vehicles, starting engines, flat batteries etc. Then back to freezing workshop working on vehicles with melting ice n snow dripping down the back of ones neck loverly then hands slipping off tools smacking them full force into something very unforgiving. Ten years of that and people knocking on own front door needing help that I gave. Then off n away on the amazing O.E. Back in 1973 the World seemed a safer place and one could do anything just with commonsense and will power. Now just putting your wheelie bin out on the street at night you have to be aware of what’s around you, she’s a very different World today only 50 years ago rarely locked up at night sometimes left keys in cars ignition. We just let all those well disciplined values slip slip away. Those days when local police cycled to your door had a talk to you about fishing where shouldn’t, nicking apples perhaps a bit of stone throwing accidentally breaking window of abandoned building and you learn that stuff belongs to someone else with a sore backside mmm’. A very fortunate life indeed😢not just luck don’t believe in luck.. God Bless and save The United Kingdom........ Robert
