No way that modernized beast is only 1000hp. Gotta be 1500, or perhaps even 1700+.
    Amazing modernization.

So i'm going to try to say some encouraging things here
We all have to start somewhere. You can learn before, during, after or all of the above when dealing with ANYTHING. You seem to be able to do research and remember things well and thats good. Knowing the difference between the parts found on 2jz in different years and chassis. But your mechanical and problem solving skills... not as great.
Every American wants to be a star but the truth is, when we watch vids we are mostly interested in what your title says you are doing. Less talking, more showing.
Better to voice over in post production telling us what was done, not what you are GOING to or PLAN to do. The less words you use the BETTER
Go look at any popular content creator. The talking is either something objectively funny or its purely informative. Their personality shows better when we are paying attention to what they say, and their talent shows up in HOW the delivered. Organize the info and add it in in post. We don't need to know EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING, just in what we are here for
You'll still make it past 10 min to monetize.
Whenever you do ANYTHING with multiple steps that are going to take multiple days you need to be taking pictures of EVERYTHING. I've lived under the hood of cars working on the same cars over and over and STILL with life distractions etc sometimes enough time passes where you forget something individual on the car. Where you placed this, or where you found that...
If you had taken pics of that harness you would have known immediately by comparing what you did wrong on the harness. Besides the obvious which is there is a g/b/g/b/g/b pattern to the injector order plugs as well as the OEM lengths make it obvious which plug goes where. Never trust your memory.
    Injen = EN-GINE
Any great speech/public speaking teacher/coach is going to tell you "Always speak to your audience"
Outside of the FC/FD RX7 crowd I can not think of any snottier group than IS/SC/GS/Supra. These cars were designed for upper middle class drivers and that trickles down to the end users including the USED end user
If you are going to make vids for that community know that you are going to be OVERLY scrutinized. "Good cars happen to bad people" is a saying we STILL use around the shop with the idea being that some cars are wasted on the people who luck up and get one cheap or are handed to them.
Its YOUR car and no one really has a "right" to tell you what to do with it. But you are putting yourself out there to them in open forum (as long as you keep comments on). So the first thing I was thinking was "how much money and time was spent polishing aluminum and buying Lexus gaskets"? Enough to buy rods to replace those thinner rods that bottleneck making power on a VVTI 2jz?
I noticed a lot of flaming about some 4 digit hp claim. Did not hear it in this vid but im guessing you said it somewhere else? Thats the kind of stuff im talking about. The less you say the less "silly" stuff you will say, the less ammo you hand over to other people to shoot at you
This video's title should have just been "polishing an intake". You used parts off various platforms, some of them older than your own. There was not one mechanical or electrical change to the intake that would be defined as modernizing
Right now I'm modding a 2nd gen Q45 throttle body to see if its a viable option now that the 1st gen are rarer. This is the TB that 2jz uses for the front facing intake manifold swap, so naturally I thought you would have some content in the vid dealing with SOME kind of modification.... to find "chroming", pressure washing under the hood (often a disaster waiting to happen on old plugs/wires/sensors) and the inability to return a car to stock and start it easily
Whatever you do in the car world. NEVER claim something is MORE than it is. Never make something more SPECIAL than it is. Never make anything more IMPORTANT than it is.
Look forward to seeing where you end up with this, because it takes all types and its YOUR car and YOUR story. Hit me up if/when you want to get into heavier and more technical mods and if I can help you i'd love to

If it's making 300hp that is a lot!
I don't understand what took 5 years on the intake when they are polished stock runners and an Injen intake? Are we missing something here?
