- Step-by-Step HOW-TO remove a 2JZ Throttle Body Assembly! I'll take you through a step-by-step tutorial on how to properly remove a throttle body from a Toyota 2JZ-GE engine. Whether you're removing the throttle body from your Lexus IS300, GS300, SC300, Toyota Supra, etc. to replace your spark plugs, plug wires, or coilpacks, or maybe you need to replace your valve cover gaskets due to leaking oil, I'll show you what you need to do to remove the entire throttle body assembly, and clean the throttle body.

NOTE: You DON'T have to remove the two 12mm bolts above the throttle body opening in order to separate the throttle body from the air intake runners leading to the intake manifold.

Caution….this vehicle does not use Phillips head screws in the throttle area. The small dot on each denotes JIS screws for which there are specific bits and drivers. A Phillips will cam out.
