    It would have helped to watch how you get the darn legs together. The instructions are non-existent.

      The instructions are overly technical for something so simple. Bolts are all just slightly too long, making it a bit wobbly. Also, I think this thing is meant for really short people. I'm 5'9", and I tower over this thing. Nothing like opening it up and having heat in your face because you have to stand over it to use it. Needs to be 12" taller.

    I have put together a LOT of things in my life (as big as a Lifetime 2-door shed and more) and by far, Coleman had the WORST instructions - if you could even call them that. While I enjoyed your video, I really wish you would have gone into more details for the instructions. I couldn't find anything decent and put things together wrong the first time. Even real pictures with close-ups of details would have been more helpful than partial drawings. I might have to do my own TH-cam if I had time. But thanks for the video - I'm just venting about Coleman - nothing you did was wrong - you were just reviewing the product, and I appreciate it.

  • @daveleblanc1791

    Instructions tell you to cook off any oils (natural or from manufacturing) right after assembly by setting the grill on high for 15 min and closing the lid. I didn't see you do that. So if the grill has any type of lube or coating on it before hand, you seasoned the unclean grill top with cooking oil and coated your steaks with it. Yummy. Never saw you wash the grate with soap and water before seasoning it either. If you would have at least heated it up for that 15 min, you could have gotten away with using a spray bottle and steaming away any impurities as you wiped the grill top as you sprayed. Then because of the water cool down you just let it continue on high heat for another minute before adjusting to your desired temp. Then you could use your seasoning oil

      I have purchased 2 propane grills one was a colemen brand and both burned everything on the lowest setting. On this video I was hoping it would be different but from what I saw it burned the steaks. Why are these propane grills doing this? It's so frustrating. I cannot find any discussions on this. My home propane grill does not so this. I am wondering if it is because of the smaller 1 gallon propane tanks. Maybe these are the problem. My home grill uses the standard 20 gallon tank and no burn? ugg.

    I bought one of these on July 3rd for the holiday-worst grill I've ever owned in my life. The instructions for assembly are nothing more than ancient Egyptian pictographs so you WILL have to take apart and reassemble several times to get it right. On the 4th, I tried to cook a slab of ribs on the grill and it would not stay lit. Never got hot even on high setting. Ended up cooking in the oven instead. The grill has no thermometer and no gauge to see how much propane is left. Today is the 5th and Mr. Coleman is going to give me my money back. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS GRILL! (Or steal one; you'd be wasting your time)

    • @daveleblanc1791
      @daveleblanc1791 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine wouldn't light either. I used a regular long lighter for that moment. After I used the grill and let it cool, I removed the grill plate and notice the the angled pin that was supposed to ignite the flame....was too far to the right. I gently turned the pin over to the left so it would line up with a hole in the venturi. That worked. It was just trying to ignite on a solid part and wasn't anywhere near a hole. You'd think that the propane would eventually get there but I decided NOT to let the gas build up.............just to see if it eventually would.
