I have watched a few videos showcasing this grill but you are the first to answer a question I had, and that is how long do those small propane containers last with this unit... As I want to buy this for daily use, and not for traveling with, this is valuable information for me. I live in a condo with a deck so I would love a compact unit and I cook only for myself most of the time. I am also very short, so this may be a good choice for me.

Close the lid. Keeps heat in and gets and keeps grill hot enough for steaks!
Does take 15 minutes to really heat up the hot plate thing.

Oh wish I caught up yesterday as u can make an attachment on the handle for a roll. Plus when I got mine when it came out over a year ago they didn’t have the hot plate! I’m going to bcf in Bendigo tomorrow an getting one 😂😂😂 the only thing is we ain’t cooking a roast in it but I wonder if the trivet would make it lower enough for pan??? Great review mate 👍🏼 Matti Odin62 🤘🏽🤘🏽

Ziggy have a new version called the Nomad that has the flame arrestor so you can use a caravan bayonet fitting. Otherwise it is the same unit.

I looked into both this grill and the Coleman Road trip grill. I might have to choose the Coleman Road trip grill. That one has two burners, three knobs to control the burners and it has the grease/oil tray inside the grill.

I believe there are refill adaptors available on eBay that allow you to refill the 1kg cylinders from your 9kg bottles. It needs to be done carefully/responsibly, but it's not that difficult.

It will cook better if you put the lid down and has time to preheat. I've ditched my flat plate in favour of some spun steel dishes from hillbilly camp gear, they work a charm

That Weber is very long! What about cooking a roast? One option I’ve seen is getting a longer hose and fitting direct to your spare gas bottle directly.
I’ve seen a bbq that ticks a lot of boxes selling at Costco. Pretty cheap to but does it fit in the tunnel boot?

Call me crazy but I would use it also for charcoal. Unscrew the flame dotted line pipe n get a small grill cover n throw some charcoal n get grilling started n when you finish you can put the gas lines back n use it for gas grilling way to go Weber you saved me double the price.🤩🤩🤠🤠🤑🤑😁😁

Weber need to get wth the program, and include a 'flame out' detector on their mobile BBQ's so caravaners can LEGALLY be able to use the vans bayonet fitting, instead of having to use a seperate dedicated gas bottle. Ziggy have now brought out a portable model with the 'flame out' detector as standard. Wake up Weber !!

Weber always recommend cooking with the lid down. Faster cook and less gas used. Also, whilst they do sell plates as you have used, the guys from 'heat and grill' recommend use of one of their pans instead. I use it on my Q.

I have a new Q2000 here at the moment (got given it for free) and still trying to decide if I am putting it in my camper trailer build, or if I am getting a traveller. I feel like the traveller is a better option, and more convenient. But when I have a good stove it kind of does the same thing, so I feel like the Q2000 will stay for me.

@@jimdent351 If you let the Q run on high after you finished cooking and char the stuff on the grill, it'll be easier to scrape off. By getting a lot of stuff sticking on the grill, it's either high sugar marinates or the food isn't ready to let go. I always use Canola or rice bran oil spray on my grates before I put food on them and I oil coat them again after cleaning just to keep it non-stick.
