hey bud, some tips: When engaging a missile ship in a gunship, you are best offensively keeping at range at optimal, defensively orbiting is possible (but you will lose accuracy) if they're in a bigger missile boat, orbit. when fighting ships with longer range or bigger weapons, generally orbit. When engaging ships with shorter range weapons, generally keep at range. Approaching a ship puts you right in their face, but that means that any move you or they make, any bumping or shifting around will greatly put your turret tracking to the test . It's like hitting a target going 2 meters per second at 30 meters away with a sniper vs hitting a target going 1 meter per second running around you point blank in a circle. Slower, but much harder to hit. Webifiers are very similar to afterburners in purpose if you are both scrammed. One doubles your speed, one halves their speed. Afterburners are better for range control, webifiers are better for weapon precision (usually) but both do both. Keep in mind that if you are using a afterburner + short range guns, you are dead against a long range ship 90% of the time. Somethime what you can do is Mwd + AB + scrambler: the MWD allows you to get in range, the scram keeps them in range along with the afterburner, and the afterburner gives you additional CQB defence by being harder to hit in orbit (remember, I said orbit against longer range guns). You are using an ancillary armor repairer, which ***unlike other armor repairer types*** is especially effective when paired with armor plates and damage controls. Armor plates are about finite but powerful tank, which is what the ancillary armor repairer is also for (because it needs to reload paste) whereas normal repairers are for prolonged engagements generally, which plates are generally not. DPS rigs are usually a waste IMO, but you use them well here. never use a DPS rig if you have two damage modules or more in the lowslots except for specialized ships like suicide gankers. Consider armor rigging as well, or even speed rigs. When using lasers, especially pulse, stroooongly consider getting them to tech 2 for Scorch crystals. you did great.
Single ancillary reps should generally be calculated and treated as buffer not repairs. Total rep amount for your first clip (until first reload) added to your EHP. Due to long reload time unless you have multiple ancil reps and stagger them so ones reloading while ones being used then their essentially just buffer.
Nice video a few tips you can use all ammunitions with T2 guns t1, t2, and faction in some cases it may be better to use some imperial navy ammo for better range or tracking depending on the situation. The LP payouts for the sites is based on what type of faction warfare system your in front line pays the most and it goes down the further you get from the front line also advanced sites will pay more but will allow T2 ships to enter. The other thing that affects LP payout is if the site is a -1 or -5 site if it’s -1 site only one person will get the full LP payment if there is more then 1 it will be split, the -5 sites up to 5 people can get the full amount before it gets split. When you overheat modules the heat damage will spread to other modules in the same rack and spread faster the more heat that builds up that can be reduced with the thermodynamics skill. Last I saw someone post already but you need nanite repair paste for your armor rep to be fully effective you can set auto reload to off and when it uses up all the paste it will still keep cycling just with reduced reps. You can also use nanite repair paste to repair heat damage on modules if they are not fully burned out and not being used.
Loved your video. I just started myself in FW and did my first sites. Exciting and had not even thought about using overheat lol. I learned something. Lol😅
Holding shift toggles overheat. So you can either hold shift + click the module. Or hold shift + press the keybind. It will toggle overheat on/off for that module. Also you can “pre-heat” them by just overheating them while the module is not active(while your sliding into the site) then the second you land just press your AB and it will activate overheated. Just play around with the buttons and key binds and you’ll see!
