Ive had my eye on Brave for awhile. I want to complete the AIR training and the SOE arc and get more cumfy in lowsec (let alone nullsec) ' - do Ive put off applying. I'll be very interested in how it goes for you. From their propoganda, Brave sounds like my kind of folks...

Uhm, I already have a place where I'm a specialist and I do the same things every day. It's called A JOB. Eve is a GAME, where I like mining - for an hour or so - but then I want to scan data sites - until I don't anymore - and I'll manufacture stuff to sell - until that's all set until the next day - and then I'll brave lowsec and wormholes - until I can't stare at dscan anymore and I need to go to the bathroom and don't want to come back to a pile of space debris - and then go rat hunting ... Why on earth does anyone want to specialize? I want a Corp where I can get better at lots of things. I've already got a day job....

I am just recently back in eve. I want to get back into mining and PI and perhaps get into industry. I stopped in 2017 after getting ganked and losing over 800m isk. To me, that was a lot of isk back then. I have to relearn how to play. I should start a alt to do the tutorial and then use my veteran char.

Eve is the most cut-throat toxic game that has attracted the biggest A-Holes in gaming... The game is designed to force players into corps to survive, but the biggest and most exciting challenge of the game is to succeed in it solo without buying your way through it like I did...

Great vid, PvP never gets old, 1v1 against an equally equipped opponent is where it’s at. I started playing this game in 2003.. I know lol. There were two PvP corps you could join called Red and Blue. You joined one or the other. They were permanently at war, Frigates only. You could get a fight anywhere. Lost count of how many times I died or got kills. Iirc it was quite sportsmanlike usually 1v1 even if you were with a corpmate. They acted like seconds in a duel. It was a great way to get accustomed to PvP . Stood me in good stead for years.

EVE is similar in many ways to life. It's not the end that is the goal, its the journey.

Go solo PvP. Just have a minimal dollar budget instead of a time budget. It's way more fun and intense.

I stopped feeling like a newbro when i moved to null, and became a bittervet when i stopped caring about ESS money and dealing with wormholers became transactional. There is no end game, as long as it's fun, i'll keep subscribing. When it's not fun anymore, welp, it'll go the way of wow.

Right! I'm a returning player. Just do stuff, guys. Hang out in null sec, start a criminal alt, and play the market with your ill-begotten gains. And cackle all the way to the bank! This is the game for that.

everything you get or earn as a new player will pale in comparison to the other 90% of the players who have played 20 years. It is futile to even try.

I quit the game about 5-6 years ago when they screwed over the markets and player investments out of greed, deliberately cut off the hub trade routes to hurt players involved in high sec trade, and started nerfing ships like the Orca so solo players had little to no defense against being ganked... Their manipulation of game against solo players and trying to force them into corps got me totally POed so I quit... Pearl Abbyss and CCP are unbelievably stupid for destroying new player retention with their BS...and the amount of revanue they have been loosing from it is staggering... 😮

Great video! Even the beginer videos are confusing to me. Everyone has a different experience and what is obvious to some is not to others. Intresting seeing your struggles, hoping I can avoid it once I'm ready to join a corp.

I remember when i was new i applied to brave but got impatient after like 2-3 weeks and no offense to them but im glad since they had to go south a while ago. Can't imagine myself anywhere else than i am now.

FW is not good for isk, specially if you cannot fight and win vs people 1v1 cuz u dont have skillpoints. You will be lucky sometimes and not get harrased but most of the time your gonna be warping in and out of 1 single 30 million complex for a whole hour, to end up dieing to someone predicting your jump, or just give up and go to another, and remember even if there is 1 second left, you dont get anything from it. And thats removing the gatecamping factors or simply no sites to do, because they dont respawn instantly Also there are A LOT of people specifically hunting new players fits just to kill the game faster, they dont get anything doing it, people dont even fight back, but is the internet and u find people that cant win at life winning in games vs ppl that cant fight them

Haven't played Eve in years. I have an account that I created in 2004 and got to 100M sp (in the days when the only way to get sp was by doing the time learning them!). Logged back in in 2019, but didn't really stick around. Perhaps I'll log in again and try it.

The daily quest "obligation" really puts me off, too. There is nothing more effective at making a game feel like a job.

The eve gate was a natural wormhole which humanity took advantage of. It was first found around or past Jupiter iirc, which caused humans to enter a new space race and a massive boom in technology led the way to space travel. The cataclysm was when the eve gate randomly collapsed, cutting off all of the fledgling colonies from sol, and thus each other. Imagine a small industrial colony on a planet suddenly losing communications with sol, food, supplies, and other critical imports. Other colonies are subjected to the same, people panic, chaos ensures. Technology regressed as generations lived and died, forgetting the old ways. From reading and watching various eve bits, that’s what I’ve gathered about the start of new Eden.

It was never 'free rewards for logging in. You had to do one of the offered events in order to get the reward.

Account created in 2016, played for a month, started playing for real in 2020. Moved to null, got a capital ship, fought in large battles. I definetly consider myself "new" still. This game is awsome :P Great Video!

I have nothing against daily rewards. Players who play this game everyday should be rewarded! If i choose to only play a few days a week, that's on me. Its not the developer's fault or the fault of players who do play everyday

It took me years to get my soul back from eve. Not giving it back to them. I do miss playing now and then, but no way i handle the hours required to really get ahead.

I had similar goal. And know many ppl who had exact the same. But as far as I can say, its not great one - once you first jump with your titan and get deleted in matter of seconds... My goal right now is just to fly expensive ships and not worry to throw few hundreds of millions daily into pvp. For that I have to estabslis solid industry and trading chain. As for newbro, I would say you stop being newbie at moment, when you can do (at least in theory) most of content - meaning, you know what ships to fly, can fit them, know the danger etc... but thats just my point of view, for example I know nothing about mission running (and it will prolly stay like that forever). Good content tho, keep it up.

I went 9 years forgetting about the R&D agents running all along. got around 200,000 RP per 5x agents. cashed out all the datacores for 1.8b isk. easy money

After a 6yr hiatus I returned to Eve and felt it might be a good thing to join a large corp to earn ISK ratting in nullsec. I'm not mentioning which corp because I suspect the same, of not worse, happens elsewhere. I ended up with some uppity dude drilling me for hours about what I could and could not do, what apps I had to use, where I could and couldn't go, which ships I was allowed to use, so on and so forth. After making a few early mistakes since I really couldn't take in every scrap of information being aimed at me, I got told off, threatened with expulsion and all the time spoken down to like I was a complete newb. I put up with it for about 5 days before getting the hell out of Dodge. It made me ill with anxiety and frankly, if this is what they call a game then I'd stick to something nice and easy like astrophysics or neurosurgery.
