  • I couldn't find a guide for F-Zero Climax that could help beginners (or players who may have been rusty at this particular entry), so I decided to try and help out.
    This video could also help if you're unfamiliar with GBA F-Zero: • F-Zero GP Legend Basics
    "What does F-Zero Climax Offer?" • What does F-Zero Clima...

    The Spin Attack is quite useful in harder difficulties. The other drivers will keep running into you so long as you're ahead, so Spinning should make them think twice.

    I've been playing this game for 2 weeks and gp legend for a month now, THANK YOU for showing widened and tightened turns. This channel has been a gold mine.
    Another thing, what's the difference between regular acceleration and boost acceleration and which one should I use?
    I love the car analysis videos too, they do a great job at showing all the perks and defaults of each vehicle in the game while also showing the correct play style for each of them

      Between regular acceleration and boost acceleration you would want to make sure you pull off boost acceleration. It adds a tiny bit of speed, but it adds up especially in Time Attack. Some machines like Astro Robin would benefit from that.
      Regular acceleration doesn't do anything too different, as I recall.
      Also, I'm pleased to hear the feedback! And I'm happier to know that the videos help players like you understand the right styles for each racer, which can make F-Zero experiences a lot smoother.

    Fzero climax is the most balanced fzero game and my fav out of the series

      It's kinda like a fusion of most games. But definitely balanced so that each vehicle is viable, unlike others where only a select few was worth using.

    Just started playing this, having played every F-Zero game other than Maximum Velocity and the BS F-Zero games -- I played the hell out of GP Legend during a vacation in my teens.
    Didn't know about up/down sharpening turns, thanks for pointing this out!

    It's quite disappointing that climax does not have the training mode from GP legend, I enjoy choosing randomized tracks and machines and play custom races without worrying about restrictions of grand prix mode. Still is damn fun to play!

      @@HellRider_ If it has a Time Trial mode, I'd use that. I always used Time Trials in Mario Kart as a way of training myself or learning the tracks.

    Did not know about up and down on the D-pad affecting turns. I set up on the d-pad to spin L + R to brake, but leaving up blank sounds way more useful.

    For anyone with a 3DS, 3DS can play GBA games natively, as it has a GBA CPU as a co-processor inside. It takes less than half an hour to learn how to hack and add virtual console games to the 3DS. You can add others, but all I've done with mine is add GBA.

    *There used to be 2 paragraphs saying how Spin Attacks made you inmune to land damage or speed loss*
    Nvm, apparently it's not true. I just thought it worked for some reason. Guess the effects of electricity and dirt just aren't that strong to begin with.
    The tutorial part is still true, tho. Press L or R to access the first tutorial that details the basics, and do it again after it ends to enter the one that details the Turn techniques and Boost Fires.

    This is pretty helpful.
    Do you have any advice for turning with the crazy bear? Is it better to hold up for brake or let go of the acceleration when performing sharp turns?
    Oh a bit of an observation, but from what I remember only a couple Dark Million members have Blackfire like Black Shadow, Blood Falcon, Zoda have it, with Bio Rex, Octoman, Pico, ETC having Boostfire. I think its only serious Dark Million members that get Blackfire.
    I don't remember if Miss Killer and Dark Soldier have Boostfire or Darkfire?

    • @custom-r
      @custom-r  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With Crazy Bear, I find it most helpful to have already mastered the "drift modifier" when using it. Try and make turns as wide as possible. If all else fails, remember to use side attacks. They work very effectively as brakes.
      Also yes, Miss Killer and Dark Sodlier have Black Fire. Bio Rex, Pico, Michael Chain, Antonio Guster, The Skull, Baba, Billy, and Octoman do not have Black Fire.

      Alot of the time whne I try to use the side attack, I end up using the boost by accident, any advice on that?
      I guess its because the others are less entrenched in Dark Million?

      It was touched upon very briefly in the video. Holding up while turning keeps a turn tight. Holding left or right is normal steering. Holding left/right while also pressing down widens a turn.
      What Control Type are you using? I always use the default, being type 1. With that setting, Boost is always "B Button."

      @@GarbenTheBerserker Every time you are about to start a race, you'll be at a menu that says "Controller Setting." Use the left or right buttons to choose a type. Generally, Type 1 already serves fine enough, and is one of the most comfortable set ups.

    I'm interested about this game, I wonder if it's similar to SNES fzero (wich I love)

    • @custom-r
      @custom-r  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The only thing it really has in common with SNES F-Zero is that the tracks are flat. This game's physics and speed are completely different.
      There's also no Rank Out System, no traffic to deal with except the other opponents, Side Attacks and Spin Attacks (from 3D games) are in this game, and of course the speed is much, much higher.
      You can try Maximum Velocity which is a LOT closer to SNES F-Zero (as in most of the systems in SNES are exactly the same). The physics however are the only thing different at that point.
