Reasons I think GPL is a great place for a newcomer to start F-Zero with:
1. It is not only close enough to SNES, which is already available everywhere, especially on Switch, but it also is way more refined in controls, and there's way more to do in here too.
2. It offers more than just 4 playstyles (since there's 32 total F-Zero machines)
3. GP Legend is the easiest F-Zero game, so it can be rewarding for newcomers as they come to master the game.
4. There is no enemy traffic/wandering explosives/or moving hazards, as GPL tries to emulate elements from the 3D games. Someone trying to deal with those may probably get discouraged if SNES or MV was their first footing into F-Zero.

I actually set up all the games with A to Boost and B to Accel (when possible), so I won't be confused when getting back to 99.

Gp legend may seem to be the easiest game, but this is nice. Btw...what do you mean by opening F-Zero cast...?
