Sadly, aside from counting, there are many ways to 'cheat' in cards; I think this is really a part of the game. As the commentator said, it is the responsibility of the card holder to hide his or her hand. Other than holding or hiding cards, spying on cards is an option. But doing it blatantly rather than working on skill is a weak game. I am sure Skillsrock wouldn't do so well going off of his cards alone. But just the same, I wouldn't want him sitting next to me in a game either.

      True.
It's the difference between ACCIDENTALLY seeing someone's hand, and DELIBERATELY trying to look at their hand.

You should NOT be expected to have to guard your hand from DELIBERATE CHEATS.

Nah, the idea of "you should protect your cards so it's your fault" is just crazy to me. That means "it's totally not against the rules for me to run around the table as each person gets dealt their hand and try to peek every single person's hand and lean over next to them, as long as I don't touch them or mess with them. It's just their responsibility to hide it from me!" The dude moved his glasses to get a better view, leaned over to peek at his cards, and then swiped thousands of dollars off it. 1: moved property, 2: invaded space, 3: acted dishonestly outside of gentleman's play. If that's "not against the rules" you aren't playing a game, you're getting scammed by being fair. At that point just bring a gun to every poker game and say "well I'm not shooting you, nor am I saying I am! I'm just POINTING IT AT YOU AND TELLING YOU TO FOLD."
If there's no honor among thieves, then there is no clan, no rules, no game. Barry DID attempt to hide his cards to some degree. You can see him hover hand his cards. Just not enough to stop the parasite inside of his skin from seeing them.

Postle used that app to gain that knowledge, no matter how well his opponents protected their hands. The fact that he used outside "help" and/or an electronic device with the express purpose being to gain an *unfair* advantage is what makes his stuff cheating.
The act of leaning slightly to peek your opponent's improperly protected cards, while not completely sportsman-like, involves no app, or actually breaking the rules. There is no unfair advantage involved. Anyone can, in theory, physically lean over to try and see if their opponents are properly protecting their hands, or if they're able to get a peek.
Is it an asshole move? Yes. Will I tell you to cut it out at my games? Yes.

What you have to remember though, is that this is a live stream, and so the casino is not so much interested in good behavior as they are in getting viewers to stay tuned. Because of this, far from keeping the table polite and orderly, the producers actively encourage outrageous displays of temper. This is why Hellmuth gets a pass to threaten to burn a casino to the ground, because they know that shit goes viral and they can cash in with the extra exposure.

Most games and sports- especially poker- are based on taking opportunity of opponent weaknesses. With that being said, if a player is not protecting their cards, I think it is perfectly ethical to take advantage of that.
This is not a charity case or a training session. When you’re playing for live money, it is YOUR responsibility to protect yourself at all times, and no one should get a pass for personal mistakes. That’s the name of the game.
Now as far as the collusion part, THAT is actually legit cheating, because that is an advantage being created that other players do not have the opportunity to exploit, prevent, or have direct control of.

Knowing 2 dead cards every hand provides you with a HUGE advantage, especially on flush boards when you know the nuts are in the muck and nobody else does. There is no skill in peeking, it just gives you a secret unfair advantage. It attracts bad karma and makes you dislike yourself for doing it.

Found this: However, poker is a game where you try to outsmart your opponents. If you’ve warned a player a few times that you can see their cards and nothing changes, you can continue playing. After all, you can’t keep folding for an entire game to accommodate one player. But however often you feel you should warn a player (or fold as a result of seeing their cards) is up to your discretion. It is considered poor poker etiquette to continue playing and exploit their mistake without first notifying them or giving them a chance. The guy got caught being a sleazeball. Now everyone knows not to play with him. That's part of the game as well.

This is what I find funny too. Lots of people saying it's technically not cheating when it is the dictionary definition of cheating "act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage, especially in a game or examination". People act like because he wasn't walked off in handcuffs that he did nothing wrong. It wasn't like Barry accidentally flashed his cards. His method of viewing his cards may have been a little lazy but not completely abnormal. That douchebag was deliberately and conspicuously going out of his way to sneak a peek so much so that he moved barry's glasses for the sole purpose of cheating. Most people expect to be caught when they are obviously glancing at other players cards so they don't do it much less act like an ass when it works out to their benefit. He should never be allowed in another casino because apparently cameras don't even deter this cheater.

It's a scumbag move but it isn't cheating to look at another players cards like this.
It is cheating to send signals to other players (that is collusion). In this instance it was between three players, so it is at the discretion of the casino to ban or not ban player(s). What you talk about in casino is between two players and the casino - this will result in the casino banning both players to say the least.
