re: solvers - tldr computer programs run millions of simulations and find the statistically balanced play for every combination of cards, position and bet size. you can even input what you think your opponent's strategy is, and the computer will tell you the ideal counter-strategy. there may be a better strategy in actual practice, but the solver will tell you how to play theoretically perfect poker so that no matter what your opponent does, in the long run you will at least break even.
Do y’all honestly think solvers really make you that much better?
Yes I’ve solved the game
How so please elaborate and lmk what tools/programs you use?

He's not wrong
In fact he's right
Phil has got some serious crazy-eyes.
@4:04 Beheading is alittle too far IVEY, BUT, cutting their fingers off says "YOU WILL NEVER CHEAT AGAIN"...lol...J/S
If someone cheats why not just ban them and pass their face around to different casinos, like they do with card counters.
Yeah, that dude & his coach cheated, but they cheated fully out in the open.... so yeah. Im still amazed no one else at the final table called the floor to get a rulling.
What about the dealers
They can and do cheat as well
MECHANICS
6:12 I think, "As I'm sure many had thought he was opposed to"* or "To which I'm sure many had thought he was opposed". Minor, but eh. Being "opposed" is different from being "opposed to something"
I can't really watch this, whenever Phil Ivey talks you interrumpt with unnecessary comments at the beginning
Came here to say this. Would really like to have gotten Ivey's thoughts without the host talking over him. It has to be a tremendous temptation to show Ivey how smart he is, but that's not the point of an interview.
If there’s one thing Ivy knows about, it’s shady behavior in a casino.
Seriously hilarious, of all people 😂
@@webchamp930he did nothing wrong
I'm sorry but there's no way I can agree. He just asked a casino to keep everything the same as he played baccarat. Nothing wrong with that because their error is their fault.
Wait. Are you comparing cheating in poker VS other players....to rigging the game in your favor against institutions that have always done so?
@@MrBeatboxmasta for a guy who did nothing wrong, he sure did lose a lot of count cases.
Fun fact, someone at this table was accused of cheating and lost in court.
So im not going to take his opinion too seriously
I just commented on that
@@kevinwaters1272 except he didn't cheat, he asked for a set of conditions and the casino agreed
Not exactly but whatevs.
he literally didnt cheat, he made some requests from the casino, and the casino agreed to them. Its really their fault for being negligent.
Phil would have you "taken care of" 😂
I think you shouldn't mix "finding an edge" with "cheating". They are different in my mind.
The tournament organizers specifically said that was against the rules throughout the tournament. If its against the rules, its cheating.
Here for Brad, not Phil
Criminal charges just like people who manipulate the stock markets etc…
Ivey the 🐐
Ivey, has been on top of the poker world, it seems forever, he has never used solvers or GTO, I am more confused about poker than ever! ha ha
Ivey became a comedian all of a sudden. A stuttering one also
You should start making shorts to gain more viewers.
6:51 he's probably talking about IQ but doesn't want to sound like an asshole
Hes talking about live reads
The guy on the left has cool socks ;)
Poker is dead, solved and ruined by dungeon dwellers.
go to Texas.
womp womp, get good
How about this, if a player is caught cheating, take one of his fingers so he'll remember and everyone else will know not to cheat!
Wow, I guess you should always fold to PI lest he labels you a "'cheater".
Ivey doesn’t want to talk about cheating because he had a Baccarat cheating scandal going with his girlfriend
maybe try making your video without the shit subtitles. youtube has a subtitle option for those who don't understand speech or are deaf
Pretty funny the man who cheated at Baccarat is telling other people his thoughts on cheating.
Iykyk Ivey don’t grind solvers… and he probably never will.. he is a Solver.. most humans cant play well enough to beat him as he is.. he’s a hustler not computer science nerd. No offense to the GTO nerds.. he’s old school poker savant
The clips you chose to show are really great ! But your commentary not so much... Maybe become a clip channel !?
What did you not like about commentary?
this felt like a interrogation.. and ivey came across defensive.. what was the purpose of the sit down..
Ivey isn't made as he isn't Italian, so this wasn't a sit down.
Ivey got the crazy eyes when he was thinking about getting cheated. Love it lol
So funny. Lance Armstrong, Mark McGwire, track athletes, professional football, the list is endless. Where there’s money on the line, there’s cheating. Acting as if you’re astonished is disingenuous.
Asking that man about cheating didn’t he cheat??
What an a55hole move. Showing a picture of Robbi when talking about cheating!
Is edge sorting considered cheating?
in the U.K court, Yes, yes it is.
NO !!! he got cheated
@@Francis-yv6hc the casino probably owned the court like they own the gaming board in USA.
No its not, its smart,
it was their own decks ffs , so no.
Why would he use a solver when played more hand then it lol 😂
I wanted to hear his voice.... wow
