- Today we take a look at Jewers Doors Ltd, 1 Juno Pl, Biggleswade SG18 8XP.
We are spoken to by the owner whilst standing outside who we chat to for a while before launching the drone.
Whilst flying, the owner returns and we continue chatting about many things including his view on this type of content.
All ended well in my opinion.

It was going so well, then director ruins it. If there was a security risk (?) the director tripled the view and tripled the risk. What is wrong with ppl refusing free publicity? This was negative in the end, but he could have given DJ a tour instead! How do such stupid ppl end up directors?

It's actually amazing how many company bosses are so far removed from knowing the rights of the public. As if they think they are actually above anybody else in the grand scheme of things.
He clearly watches all the audit vids so he knows what rights people have, he just spends all his day telling people what to do but can't handle the reality of have NO authority outside the boundary, remember that his workforce will see him in a powerless scenario too, that's hard to take.😂

He clearly knows DJ isn't doing anything illegal, quote "it's not about the law" and quote "you know the law backwards". He is making a firm request which is completely legal to do. He does make some very good points about security and police stations. What DJ did indeed place them at a higher risk than before, even if it is 100% legal. Just because it is legal doesn't mean it is right, and there's also the age old debate of what matters more, freedom or security.
For someone who doesnt want you to film, he stayed for your biggest guest star, wonderful

What a very pleasant business owner. I understand his getting abit annoyed but overall, a very good representation of his company.
Jonathan seemed like a nice guy, he reluctantly accepted photography from a public place is legal and apart from 'national security' his objections seemed reasonable.

Although the video finished on a reasonably positive note it would help the owner if he read up on drone photography and videography. Google doesn’t use secret satellites to obtain 360* images of a property. Google uses a combination of images starting with commercial satellites, then zooming in to integrate images taken from a light aircraft. For further details they will use the larger commercial drones with ultra high resolution cameras that are more stable than the planet, and even smaller drones if the company is in news or is a newsworthy item.
[If you’re old enough, you might remember the original “Star Trek - The Original” which tried to show an almost infinite zoom, going from outer space to Captain Kirk free climbing “El Capitan” in Yellowstone National Park. A bit of a tangent but shows the origins of the current imagery].
If Johnathan could grasp the concept that there are very few areas of the country which have special restricted flight access, but those that are restricted will be clearly covered by the CAA, and ultralight drones have almost complete freedom of access except when they enter an area where the public have expectations of privacy - so no hovering outside someone’s bedroom or bathroom or the rozzers will quite rightly make you feel like you were run over by a tank (a great example of actions having consequences).

I have worked for a company that make sliding door, roller shutter doors, Concertina doors, bar grills, farm gates, and garage doors.

Why so much hate on the guy? The owner of the buisness in the video is correct though and i feel for him and others, A lot of this footage can be used to find weaknesses in the site which could help thieves etc. Yes DJ is within the law, but that does not mean people should be so disrespectful to these businesses.
Agree totally, Audits should not intentionally go out of their way to wind people up and try to invade their privacy. Including staff who may be sitting in office's and trying to record them through the window.
On the plus side, it can also show the owner things that need sorting out, or need more security etc. So it can be of more help than a threat.
Yeah I remember getting into this sort of content because of auditors fighting the real tyrants like aggressive and corrupt police. It's easy to slide into watching all kinds of nonsense about trying to humiliate random citizens just trying to go about their day.

Mr Jewer seems like a night enough guy although I think he realised quickly storing sensitive / secretive products outside at the back of the yard isn't a very good idea and perhaps should be keeping stuff like that undercover in future 😂😂

Thought Jonathan was ok inquisitive on something he doesn't understand, polite as well. All xomes down to if his location requires high security he can get via CAA a restriction for any flights above 😊

The Director and any other Director should just be proud of whom they are and what they do when people like DJ show up, essentially just trying to earn himself some money. Like the rest of us. Regarding any security issues the reality is, if someone really wants to try and get you rob from you. They will plan that an possibly try regardless of what DJ does or doesn't film. Ultimately just make sure that you have top notch security measures in place. And that's all you can really do.
Yea, I get him. A lot of the 'older' generation find new tech to be intimidating. But, once they realise it can be a good thing, they get it. Trust me, I've seen this a LOT (Work, Voluntary etc).

You can buy a satellite image of almost any area for around £500-£1000. they go over twice a day
Sliding doors a matter of 'National Security. Mr Sewers is an advocate for the old adage of More money than sense. Great video.
To be fair, Mr Jewer was spot on with regards increasing risk to National Security. Many of our industrial setups around the UK may play a part in the manufaturing of items that support infrastructure around the UK that may link to the preservation of National Security. For example, if Mr Jewer was manufacturing doors that are used to secure high security sites and locations, your video may give away just enough information for someone to counter this security option.
Youre essentially providing open source information to individuals that may have bad motives or terrorist related intentions.
I completley agree with your overall aim to prove public right and operating within the bounds of the law sensibly, however i think you should add a layre of common sence whe choosing what information to place on the Web. After all, its your countrys national security you may be putting at risk.
