Hell yeah! Love the budget minded builds. It’s almost like I can build it. Unlike most other build channels.

Setup looks really good.. the control arms will do fine.. the most I’ve ever heard was about them benefiting from ball joint upgrades but that’s it

Good to see the project progressing, those shocks look really short, are they going to limit your travel? Where is the bump stop that bottoms out your suspension so you don’t destroy your coil over?

There’s tons of stories about the eBay control arms. Everyone says swap the ball joints to Moog or QA1.

@ idk what type of driving you’ll be doing but the ProTouring community says they break easily. I have some on my 72 Skylark. I have the Viking coilovers as well. I had to drill out the holes on the lower control arm to use Viking’s hardware. I use the ZL1 Brembo brakes on my setup.

Glad you finally got away from the garbage sold on Amazon. eBay is much better imo.

Do you have enough clearanced off the frame so the upper arms won't hit the frame if the arms are shimmed inwards for alignment?

I'm pretty sure I do. When I was mocking them up I was hoping them away from the frame mount about 1/2 inch. But if I have to I should be able to get a dremel on them without pulling them apart

I did the exact same setup for control arms and discs on my 55, the upper bump stop was the issue with mine. I used factory springs and I wonder if that’s why my bump stops were hitting, I had no give in The front end and noticed them making contact.

Yeah, it's kinda wild how far off it was and how much had to get cut off. As it is, I still think I might have to go back and trim a little more if I have to shim them a lot
