Nobbel I have one question at around 20:00 when the "party crashers" end their dialogue Varedis comments about your artifact you "burrowed" from. Would Caria also comment on your artifact if you gotten her weapons?

Nobbel, the part about Illidan's immortal demon soul is mentioned if you choose to sacrifice yourself to power the portal. When you die and resurrect to run back to your body, Illidan actually speaks to you and brings it up that "like him, you have an immortal demon soul" and will return to the Twisting Nether if you die until you find a new body.
If you ask me, it's a nice way to explain our hero's ability to resurrect in game. :)
It's actually contradictory, as Marduum is said to be in the Twisting Nether itself, but if that were the case, then even if you had a Demon Soul, you'd die permanently if you die'd there like the rest of them.
I don't know, but I wish there was some sort of explanation. Death Knights can also apparently be resurrected repeatedly (since they're dead). Honestly, pretty much every class except the non-magical ones (hunter, warrior, rogue) have some way to justify it in universe. Still, it beats having Iron Man be the default gameplay mode :P

So your character (Insert demon hunter name here) is now in charge of the illidari and a very powerful one/ skillful but you cant catch an imp. Great writing blizzard.
In game wise, you probably didn't want to risk damaging that book, as it's very important. Outside of that though, they probably just wanted to have us play with our parkour skills more.
To be fair, it's a really fast imp.
Well... you have absorbed the essence of several demons to gain their strongest abilities.
BUT Imps have an eternity of experience at messing with even the biggest of the big demons and getting out of it unharmed.
The greatest mistake the character made is indeed the fact that they did not absorb the essence of a powerful imp!!!!

i can't be the only one that thinks the demon hunters got gypped on there Grand title? as a paladin i got HighLord, Druids get Archdruid and monks get grandmaster, the DH get slayer? it sound like a title you get for farming mid in a PVP battleground

Grumpy # there's nothing wrong with the DH, there coming out wasn't as bad as when DK was new, you couldn't move for DK back then, but with demon hunters there's is barely any that level 110 i think blizz said only 3% of the people that made a DH leveled it to max.
but my point was Slayer just dosnt sound like the title bestowed to the leader of your Grand order, though looking at some of the other names i can see that Blizzard were a bit unimaginative with some of the other class too with high priest, Netherlord and huntmaster been been on the we coundent me bothered side of the naming line, the priest one is the most galling as there are some real cool names they could have used.

We have most exept two of the steamy romance novels, even marcus leaving an hut in thunder totem and medivhxgarrona in terms of interspecies, while there's no khan, we have enough star trek referances already to declare that this has become star trek by now xP

As a demon hunter you cannot possess that kind of flaw, otherwise you are as weak as the mortal ''heroes''. To be a demon hunter you must be just like the enemy you fight, in this case legion, which will show no mercy or any sort of empathy, they will destroy you before you say a word. The only difference is the cause which you fight for, instead of destroying the world, you protect it and empathy, doubt cannot be a part of that task.
In real life now it may be hard to comprehend, as humans we are empathic, but this is a game, and it a demon hunter showing any kind of emotion is a sign of weakness, with it, there is no hope for success, same goes to death knights.

When Kil'jaeden himself arrived at the Fel Hammer, I was like "Damn...". This was one of my favorite Order Hall campaigns. Too bad the next step of the Illidan campaign involves grinding 80 Lingering Souls Fragments. Normal mythics only drop 1 at the time and mythic+ is out of my reach, since my guild doesn't do shit. I hope Blizzard increases the drop rate of these things in patch 7.2, like they did with the legendary quest line in WoD.
Edit: It seems they've made a hotfix where Lingering Soul Fragments also drop from heroic dungeons. It's still only one per dungeon and there's this weekly cap of 10, but at least you hit the cap faster. I still hope for some catch up mechanic in the future, since this is part of the Illidan story.
Don't be afraid to do Mythic + in a pug they are fairly easy and ALOT of groups will carry you for free so long as you supply them with a low level keystone, they use it to farm artifact power easy, e.g maw of souls, neltharions lair, darkheart thicket etc those ones are easy to get into

sadly, there is not much background info on how the demons in BT allied with the Illidari, but it looks like shivarra in general are not very keen on serving the Legion.
Which makes sense, as the Legion ways are not very fun for anyone who isn't a pyromaniac or some such.

@nobble very well told there, if I may make a suggestion I would recommend you do the priest order hall campaign next. I know I may be a little bias but it has some very interesting lore within it and I don't want to give too much away but the naaru and titans are involved in it.

That the Army of Light is battling an entire planet and holding them off. Even if they are losing the war in Argus, the fact that they have been battling for this long should say something. If not for their efforts, Azeroth would have been overrun long ago.
+Reign They have been battling the endless tide of the Legion and hold them back for a thousand years, the Illidari were all captured by Maiev with minimum effort....I see a bif difference in the results.

Fun ride, as ever. May I ask that the next Artifact lore you tackle be a Rogue weapon? It's about the only class you haven't touched on at this point, I think. You'll probably get the most mileage out of the Kingslayers.

@Grumpy I dont think you have played demon hunters . it was not an attack . maiev cant beat demon hunters . she just struggled too much just to hit vandel . if you look at the video , you will notice that some kind of energy was catching their feet . it was a trap . they just rushed and they fell for it . they would not have been imprisoned if they did not go to the area of trap . dont think that maiev beated the demon hunters in an instant .
demon hunters are powerful individuals . they are powerful even more of druid .

As much as I like both illidan and the illidari I really despise the cult-like way in which they worship him. It's one thing to admire and draw inspiration from your leader, but the larger-than-life pedestal that have him on is just setting everyone up for failure. Also the theme of sacrifice to the Nth degree is getting really old, there's a lot going on but very little development or substance.
Illidan will be the new Sylvanas, its annoying I know, just wait patiently till the Naga or smth else be the new race and observe how this annoying order hall will become the new monks...

As in the Exodar, as in the goddamn ship that they were aboard when they crashed on Azeroth, to escape Draenor or Outland, after they had left their home world of (Argus) I believe in order to flee Kil'Jaeden and the Burning Legion...I mean I didn't really think that this was some huge mystery, and I haven't even played WoW since WotLK/early MoP. I mean correct me if I'm wrong Nobbel, or correct me where my errors are, but I believe I got a chunk of that info from you, yourself.
Wow Jedi well remember the legion probably only has spaceflight because of the eredar. Before that they likely just used portals etc. And don't ethereals use the void to travel? :P
