The Go can be anything 3 in 1, maybe 4 in one. I like the thickness in the back. Like baby got back, you can upgrade the ram and memory and get a gpu with Graphic card for more power.

@@CJKnowsTECH Legion Go. For me its the true iPad Pro killer. With power saving mode on, and controllers remove, its gives me 5-7 hours of productive time. I have not touched my iPad Pro since i purchased the Legion Go. Mainly because it runs a full Desktop Windows 11. The iPadOS is the main bottle neck (and frustration) of some iPad Pro users, which, in my one month of use, Legion Go almost instantly became my laptop replacement (and to think Ive been trying to convince myself for many years that the iPad can be a laptop replacement with an M1 chip, which unfortunately, even with M4s, its not gonna happen).

Many don't realize it yet, but the Legion Go is actually an iPad Pro Killer when in tablet mode, and with power saving mode enabled. It runs a full desktop Windows 11 OS that lasts between 5 - 7 hours on regular use (typing documents, doing research, checking emails, writing computer programs, editing and rendering video snippets, and creating infographic designs using Adobe fireworks) It being a handheld game for me is just a bonus. I came to realize this when I noticed I haven't used my iPad Pro for an entire month since I bought the Legion Go. As a matter of fact, I don't even bring my laptop to work either. Nowadays, I just carry the Legion Go (without the controllers) and a Microsoft Folding keyboard and Microsoft Arc Mouse to get the job done. And for some people who asks if you can draw with it using a stylus, yeah, I got a Wacom stylus as well which is a good counterpart of the apple pencil. Believe it or not, comparing the cost of this device with all the accessories I bought, it is still waaay cheaper than a 1TB iPad Pro (apple pencil and magic keyboard not included)

I got the ally x I tried the legion go for a bit. I do like the portability of the ally x and the battery life. The screen on the go is incredible. My recommendation is if you don't have a gaming PC, get the Go as it has great performance and a brilliant screen. If you do have a gaming PC, I'd get th ally x as you're gaming PC screen is likely going to be better than the screen on a handheld. And your use case will probably be to beat and finish as many games portably. Just my thoughts. Can't go wrong with either!

I see that there is a better battery on the ally x,but...i dont know....when saw the lenovo legion go for the first time (i thought the only real handheld was Nintendo) i instanly fell in love. It has the perfect weight for me,controls are okay,i didnt exactly play a game on it,i only checked it out but it did look confusing.

I think the 2nd one through will have the 2nd gen of the AMD z-extreme apu which only improves the cpu side of the chip. The third gen z apu, according to AMD's timeline, will improve the gpu side of the chip improving from the 780m graphics. Which i think is the one I'm going to just end up waiting for. Tbh the lenovo bigger screen is a massive win for me, and having a track pad is perfect for a OSRS player like me, plus the weight isn't a problem for me anymore because the kick stand is universal, if you are sitting down you can have the kick stand out so you could have it support its own weight while you lay it on your lap, and reduce the weight on your arms to zero lol, but yea if you want to have it airborne then yes it will be heavy, but then you are just being dumb by not utilizing the kick stand. Also the battery life is also a stupid topic... because everywhere we go in 2024 you could 7/10 have it plugged in your car or hotel. I am a truck driver so this is zero issue for me when it comes to battery life, since when using it I am 9/10 have it plugged...

For health reasons I can’t sit on a chair after work for just playing so I use the handheld mostly at home and LeGo became a perfect substitute for Steamdeck in my case. I love that massive screen, and battery is not an issue playing at home. I also have a 60€ power bank that works well with the Legion Go (Baseus 65W). I'm going to say it again and again, Legion Go is the most immersive and innovative handheld to this day. The updates came quickly, and it made this device very promising. I have mine since launch, and I immediately dropped my Steam deck LCD and instead Oled. stuck with Legion, which is the true upgrade. Windows is the only way to play those triple A titles without out the headache of Linux trying to run them on low settings smh ...I don't complain about battery life when you can just charge up when you want to. I have a portable battery charger that can get the job done for Travel as well. Legion is the Beast. as that 8.8-inch display hits different. I love it also when I remotely play PS5. waiting for Legion 2 😎👍🏽

The 16x9 vs 16x10 point is moot anymore. Many games support both. The screen on the LeGo is large enough so that the black bars above and below in 16x9 games aren't a big deal. 16x10 really shines when emulating old consoles for games without widescreen patches. The added vertical space is a huge benefit.

I tried the X but simply couldn't accept the downgrade in screen size from using my LLG.. plus you just cant ignore the Elephant in the room and eventually the likeliness is you will have to deal with Asus customer services or their rma process. Not for me thanks.

I would have considered the legion go if it doesnt have the fps mode gimmick with weird buttons designed all over for the fps mode. The detachable controller is nice but the design and ergonomics are terrible it could have been comfy just like a steam deck grip.

I mainly just play Call Of Duty, Which do you think is better for COD?
Is the FPS mode on the Legion Go worth compromising on the ally X’s upgrades?

My personal favorite for COD is the Ally X. I like the FPS mode, but I honestly do not play that way over the normal way typically.

They told me that larger display will take more battery life than smaller display smaller display will take less battery power because depends how much power does it needs to deliver from a larger screen or two smaller screen

what? Ally X is not hevier and Legion Go is not 640g- it is 862 (at least mine, spec says 854g). You should feel the difference when having both in hands?

Had lego and sd oled. Just received ally x a few days ago. Thought i cant move on from lego as i play mostly fc24 so the bigger screen helps a lot. Now that i tried x for a few days. Cant stop playing. Surely smaller screen but the battery life is so damn good. Playing fc24 i get almost 3 hours 😁. With lego usually under 1 hours 15 minutes already need to connect to my powerbank. Also the x is so comfortable to held. Also Ally x is so quiet. Barely any noise playing fc24 but smooth 60fps. Really quite a dilemma which one to keep now😂. So hard to play on lego now

That's not fair comparison. ROG Ally X is an update of ROG Ally. Legion Go 2 will be better than ROG Ally X

I will just say that personally I think the Legion go is more worth it due to the cheaper price but yet amazing performance. Coming from the ROG Ally Z1extreme model to this was an experience for me lol. The higher resolution ( mostly 1200p for performance purposes) is really nice and doesn’t impact performance as you would think it would. In fact I was getting more frames at the same settings in most if not all the games in my collection. Also while nice, the VRR display is not the game changer you may think. I have found my games play smoother on the Legion go despite it not having the feature
