  • Congratulations, you have to prepare for an upcoming presentation and you're probably close to a nervous breakdown right now. At least, that's how I felt when I first started speaking in public, even in front of a small group of people.
In this video, we're going to talk about how to prepare for your talk, big or small (event or at the office) to help you make sure you're going to knock it out of the park.
To help us, I'm happy to introduce the person who helped me take my public speaking to the next level, Mike Pacchione. I hired Mike as a speaking coach when I became very serious about public speaking back when I started in 2012, and his guidance has truly change the course of my speaking career, and really my life, too.
We'll be going over 3 tips for how to prepare for a presentation before your talk and 3 tips for what to do while on stage or in front of your group that can give you an edge, too.
You'll still be nervous, but you'll be better prepared and have these tips to guide you through a successful presentation. You got this!
Check out Mike's website, here: mikepacchione.com

Loved this! Speaking is my FAVOURITE thing! Something else is to realise is that speaking is SERVING your audience. You know your stuff & what you’re talking about, so you being up there is your duty! You share your message and be fearless doing so! You DESERVE to be there!

I love this topic. It's one that I talk about all the time. I'd say strong presentation skills are key if we want to position ourselves as leaders. I love (3:10) the whole thrust of this and focusing on what your listeners need is. Great tips for sure.

Pat & Mike: Awesome information. Love your speaking style, Mike's and all the Duarte books. It's a good for all of us to consider a contrast to the more conventional Toastmasters approach. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Pat! I noticed Mike said "we often fall into the trap of thinking we have a personality at work and we must always stick to that". I find that often applies in almost all environments and I was wondering why that was, how people get stuck in the first place and what pushes them to want to change.
