- So yesterday 26th June was a bad day for me with a chronic pain flare up. it was no means the worst days i can have but i thought documenting it would be a good idea, today my fatigue is really bad. life with any chronic illness is so up and down i'm just glad i don't have lots of plans to cancel.
I realised I missed a clip when editing talking about people's pain tolerances and that these can mean people function at different levels of pain. I've had to learn how to be a single mum with these conditions which at times feels like it's breaking my body but I've also learnt to keep my outward emotions to myself to try to make it easier for the boys. Today I've had a crappy day with fatigue and not moved off the sofa 😣 sending you all gentle hugs xx
You've probably over done it with your bedroom...i have nerve damage that's led to me having to give up work. Im constantly on morphine. The only things which helps me is my tens machine and i do some colouring to help me thinking of something else other than pain. I really hope you feel better soon. I wished there was something i could for you cause you don't know how much you have helped me...i know im not alone xx
I am the same today. I have fibro and I am on my bar stoll in my mess of a kitchen with pink hair. Also we look like sisters.

So how do you fix a flare up like one day I was in so much pain I felt like all my body was on fire all my joints and muscles
Like today it was too cold to go outside so how do I keep moving when it's too cold outside or I'm in too much pain

Everyone knows when I'm just about to start a flare or I'm having a flare, as my cat (a raggy) is on me. It's like she sense's my pain. So strange lol. Sending hugs 💜💜💜

I've had fibro for o over 25 years. When I have a flare, it incapacitates me for at least a day. Then I have a sort of "hang over" , so things still aren't right. I have little to no help, it's hard.
thats how my fibro is the beginning of a flare i get pain everywhere and than comes along the lightheadedness and fog and once it subsides the next day i have a hangover feeling where i an just exhausted

I’m flaring too but I can’t tell if it’s my MS, RA, or fibro. All I know is I hurt, I’m exhausted and I want to be left alone

The worse part is when you’re having a flare up and still have to show up for work that’s intense and you have to be on and talk with tons of people day in and day out.

I’m retired and still have to work part time due to inflation, my retirement check is not much. It’s so hard feeling sick everyday 😢. I deal with FM, chronic inflammation, chronic fatigue chronic pain. 🤦♀️

Hi Samantha, after just watching you and how you are feeling, I really feel for you, having M.E. and Fibro myself. You are a great mum, considering what you have to put with, you are doing a good job. You may do things slowly but you will get there in the end. I feel your pain!!! When I have flare-ups, I tend to become reclusive and depressed but listening to music and doing yoga has been somewhat helpful💕

I have fibro and a bulging disc too the pain in my back is excruciating, I also have osteoarthritis and sciatica in my back, my knees have arthritis and osteochondrits too so standing sitting or lying down is painful, I can hardly sleep cuz of pain and that makes me more exhausted too, I feel your pain hope you get medication to help and physio and injections if you can

That night before a flare up when we can’t fall asleep are the worst since you know a flare is coming. I get so mad and have to take sleep aids, muscle relaxers and cod and still the brain won’t fall asleep. I feel your pain as I watch, pain sucks. Hugs

My flares happen a lot for me lately, and I wish I could take a bath but I can’t get up and down out of the tub. I tried to wash dishes and that didn’t work my body is in so much pain.
You do amazing, hope your flare was better in the morning. I am a mom of 7 my hubby works alot but helps me when he can. It's about finding ways to cope with the pain and fatigue. Its the school run when I am exhausted and struggling to stay awake that's my issue as I am the only one who drives. X

Iv just bought the big bootie for heat and massage for my freezing cold feet for about £12 they are wonderful and the sensations up your legs for circulation problems too. Hi I have just came across you on TH-cam.
I was diagnosed 6 months ago and placed on duluxitine. I can't cope with this condition. 😭 I don't seem to get a break from it. The pain is always trying to break through. I have dealt with this pain for about 5 yrs now. But the fatigue is crippling me. I'm having a flare up at the moment. I really feel I have been in a ring with a boxer and they won.
Any advice !

I have severe ME and severe Fibromyalgia,
Also being tested for FND, Pots, Hyperacusis
Cannot be active and staying still is painful and stiff.
When in severe flare I burn like acid all over my body inside and out.
My brain feels like it swollen which affects my eyes too.
I have to use crutches, stairlift and power wheelchair.

My partner knows, I get glazed eyes, can't concentrate,feel agitated when he asks me a question and I just can't stay awake. My body aches and climbing the stairs to the bathroom is like I am climbing with leaded feet. I have tried to speak to a Doc for but feel like a fraud. They don't get it. Jane Friel thank you Jane, yes, I realised the hard way how one sided most of my friendships were, I had an accident which has left me with my right leg from waist down practically no use now(21 years ago) chronic pain and numerous other illnesses now. Luckily I have my hubby of nearly 32 years and 3 fab children who were only 6,7 and 8 when I had my accident and a couple of real friends. It is nice to talk to other people who go through this and understand, I’ve been having a really bad month and guess I was feeling a bit sorry for myself, sams videos always cheer me up. I read the other day that you are 66% likely to be misdiagnosised by your doctors with fibryomaylagia. The medications they give you for pain such as Cymbalta have had studies done showing that the drugs works no better than placedo in people who take it for fibro pain.
My doctor first said I have RA, then when my RA levels came back as normal, they said I'm suronegative Ra, with fibromyalgia. I do not believe to have fibro or RA. Their symptoms overlap so many other diseases and syndromes, how can they not give me more tests? Why prescribe me drugs when my levels are showing up normal.
I feel like my doctors are not willing to give me mri, or CT BC they don't feel I need it. I'm worried I may have luekiema from all the biological chemicals iv worked around without masks for the many years iv been working construction.
Not sure what to do at this point, I feel really bad for my wife as she sits here watching me fade away into what I'm experiencing. Ugh.

I have been feeling very much like you are explaining, for months and months. I don't know how to approach having it investigated as I've heard so many horror stories where people have had such a battle with their GP and I just don't have the energy. It's a catch 22!

Thank you for sharing. I was passively diagnosed “oh you must have fibromyalgia” and left so I don’t even believe it’s fibromyalgia. Working on getting a proper diagnoses but my “flare ups” last 2-3 full days and they get very bad on day 2 as my muscles tensed up over time and bad on day 3 as well. I can’t sleep, the pain is excruciating, happens 1x a month minimum. Over the counter meds don’t help, heat doesn’t help, nothing helps. My pain from worst to least is in my neck, shoulder, face, mouth, head and chest. The pain is so bad that my skin feels hot and the side of my face that’s hurting I get blood in my nostril…. I can’t accept that it’s fibromyalgia, it’s too painful and I’ve been suffering with this for 3+ years. Is this normal??? :(

My husband (who I've been married to for 11 YEARS) STILL tells me, to this day, that even he (who has seen with his own eyes and experienced how my illnesses affect HIM) has a hard time believing I'm sick! If someone who has LIVED with me every day for the worst of my symptoms, still thinks that, what hope can I have for anyone else?! 😣

I hate this neverending locked up shoulder and neck situation. I've familiarized myself with trigger points. I've bought many things... Tried MANY things. High dose Gabapentin (600-800mg as I'm a petite gal with no appetite ever...) is the only thing that marginally helps so I'm semi functional. My kitchen goes months without a clean... I just got out of a 13 year abusive marriage 5 months ago. I have three young kids and it's the worst until I pawn them off on someone else. I would love to not feel like I'm on the verge of a panic attack bc I'm trapped in a cage and my kids need me. I feel you on the tablet situation. It's just hard to not judge oneself as a parent but if you haven't experienced this shit for months and years on end... You just won't get it. You lose all desire to push through. You just want to feel ok so you can get on with life...
Good on you for trying to plan for the rest of the day. Dinner or "tea" (American here lol) is the worst after school. The weekends after daddy visitation is also bad. I would love to JUST get rid of the myofascial tension. At least you're trying, I usually just crash on the nearest lounger as soon as I can. My child free moments, which I'm blessed to have regular relief with a drop in nursery nearby for my youngest and the older two go to school. But four hours isn't long enough, six isn't either, neither would 10 or 12 hours
.... I wish they had an auntie I could ship them off to for a week to get my stuff together.

I’m in heaps of pain and I’m resting, I get up every hour or so and do something, like water the garden do some washing, tidy up a little then go back to bed. It’s so frustrating as it’s hard to get started. It must be harder when you have a family to look after. Good idea to get the kids to do a few little jobs. 👍 I too have a timer, I hope you feel better soon. 🙏
Does anyone else have the shower/bath thing? You know it's going to suck all your energy down the drain. Laying on your softest pillows, your whole body...on the pillows because everything your skins putting pressure on is severely painful. Stress just exacerbates all of it. You realize when someone tells you that you are whimpering, but you didn't know because you had noise canceling headphones on to ignore the world.

Fibromyalgia for 20 years. No treatment options that work so far tried everything. Not a single good doctor to care. Tried to get disability for 15 years never got it. Haven't worked in 12 plus years now. No family, no friends, no one to care or help. I have a son who I can't financially take care of anymore. I think I'm ready to give up!
I'm really sorry that you are going through this but since you know those times that you are going through this maybe you should think about what you say to the kids because they are children and they don't understand what you're going through and children will be children. But please try to think about what you say before you say it to the children. They are young and it will affect their life and their future. If you have to bite your tongue please think about what you say before you say it. You are the only one in control of what you say to those children. Be kind

I have fibro & IBS & gluten intolerance. I feel like when one illness acts up, it sets them all off. Such as if I accidentally eat gluten it sets my IBS and fibro off. It is a nightmare but I still try to get as much done as possible. I always think, I feel horrendous now, but it won't last forever, I know it's going to ease off soon! Good on you for pushing through, it's not nice! Also I have 2 boys aswell (ages 7 & 3!) x
I always think it's because it's all connected. I started off with got issues early on in life, then IBS 18, then wheat and gluten intolerance and finally, many many years later, fibro. Maybe if my gut issues had been fixed, then I wouldn't have ended up with all the other things. Who knows! Big hugs all round x

I have suffered with Fibro since I was 12 years old (now I am 34). Have you ever Tried Prolotherapy injections? After years of severe pain and tender muscles, the prolotherapy injections is the only treatment that has taken away almost all of my pain.
When im having a fibro flare i can look at my dishes and i cant even pick themnup to wash!
My bedroom is the worst. If I'm functional at all, I put it into the rest of the house, even if it's just the kitchen. But my room... loads of laundry, dust, clutter, everything is everywhere in there.
