Living with fibromyalgia is so difficult. My flare-up’s can last one / two months where I spend in bed feeling sad and in great pain. My skin even burns and I suffer from insomnia. Fibromyalgia has taken my career as a nurse away and that depresses me even more. Prayers for everyone who has it.

It’s like being stuck in a hole of quick sand. You feel weighted down, exhausted, swollen, swollen feeling bones, achy joints, sore tender burning spots in the skin or deep tissues, hurting all over, or here and there , in a fog, arthritic, tight skin, depression. It’s like you know what you need to be doing or want to do, but your body says, NO...YOUR MINE AND YOU WILL SIT , HURT AND LAY UNTIL IM DONE WITH YOU. YOU HAVE TO LIMIT YOURSELF. AVOID STRESS, HIGH EMOTION, NEGATIVITY. THIS CAN go on and off for days, weeks or even months at a time. I’ve even had long stretches of feeling symptom free, then have it return and set in again.

Unless you’ve changed your diet and have no sugar, alcohol, dairy or cheap carbs you should stop complaining. As well as chronic fatigue syndrome, and leg bone pain, I lived with crippling bone pain in my chest to the extent I couldn’t lie down or breathe. 3 days after giving up butter decades of pain disappeared. Now I’m vegan, teetotal.

In My own experience, I've learned that most doctors advise patients to do things that they could not do themselves, if they had the disease. They may understand pain, but they aren't experiencing it themselves. They'll say walk, exercise or be active. When you feel like you have a load of bricks on top of you, getting out of bed is not possible. All forms of movement hurts.

I started feeling like this in my late teens and early twenties. It took me until I was 58 years old to finally get diagnosed with fibromyalgia. At 72 I still struggle with it. I have been very fortunate to have God provide me with very understanding doctors and family. Without them I don’t think I would have made it this long.

There's a blood test for fibromyalgia now. Don't quote me, but I think people with fibro have an elevated white blood cell count. I've dealt with this for 20 yrs and I wish I could say I was thriving. I have other health issues too, though. Everything got so bad a few years ago that I just wanted out and took an overdose. I ended up in a coma for four days and a month in the hospital. Suicide is the number one cause of death with people with fibro. I've changed what I can and cut out sugar and foods that are supposed to be bad for it. The arthritis has gotten so bad in my knees, but I can't do another surgery because the pain was beyond what I could handle, so I'm looking at a wheelchair now. Fibromyalgia won't kill you, but for some it sure does make you feel like you don't want to be here anymore ☹️

I think the mom/wife part is the hardest….. I’m 46, was diagnosed at the end of last year, when I, like a lot of others blood work was perfect multiple times, I was tested for MS, Lupus… nothing came up in my blood work other than inflammation. It has been 2 years of trying to figure out WTH was going on, this diagnosis is defeating…. I have been through a lot physically, biggest being a motorcycle accident I was in at 19, I was t-boned by a drunk driverI, she hit my left leg directly snapping my femur in half and crushing my foot, I flatlined for 18 seconds and woke up a month later missing half of my left leg. I busted my ass to walk again and function like I did prior to the accident.. since then I’ve had 5 kids, ages 25-11. I went from being energetic and kicking any challenges ass , to feeling like everything I fought so hard for physically was slipping away. I’m exhausted all of the time, I wake up some mornings and feel like I have the flu because my body is sore… but then I have good days and I take advantage of those as much as I can, it’s def a rollercoaster…. So thankful for a great hubby and kids💕 be well💕

Fibro is so debilitating. Yes exercise is essential. I “drag” myself to the, pool as often as possible and swim about 20 lengths of the pool slowly. The water is just so gentle on my body and for a short time I don’t feel any pain. It is hard to exercise as if you overdo it it just exacerbates your pain. I usually swim for about 35 minutes a day, but if I go over 45 minutes, it’s just too much and I pay for it. It is a balancing act. I try to go out of the house every day, even if it just to the grocery store. I use the grocery cart to help me walk and I walk up and down the aisles for exercise. Right now I am dealing with the terrible fatigue. It’s almost as bad as the pain as I just can’t function and don’t have any energy to do the most menial tasks. Hope everyone out there has a “good” day. Sending big hugs and positive thoughts your way. Thank you so much for your video. I love to hear everyone story. ❤️🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦

I think swimming is the primo exercise for FM, as long as the water temp isn't cold. A hot tub afterwards is excellent to warm through. ( I no longer have pool access.) Walking at the store is a great idea to share. For me, the store has been excess stimulation for my senses. I "shop and go" as quick as I can. 😊 I walk the dogs, but it's been cold.

Have fibromyalgia for over 10 years. I know some people are against taking medications, but if you’re bad enough I think you’d at least try what the doctor is offering. The medication might actually work for you. I also don’t feel like people should feel bad about taking a medication. We are already going through enough, why should we feel bad for trying to get better? Sometimes dietary changes and exercise aren’t enough and there’s only so many bad days/years you can take before looking for other options.

@amy layfield I know what you mean.
I guess its different for everyone also that was recommend by my Rheumatologist. It rings true for me and I notice when I'm idle i get more achy. The number one thing that helped me was changing my diet.
Organic foods, 100% grass fed meats, pasture raised pork, chicken and eggs, no fast food (i do periodically, like very rarely), stay away from preservatives, chemical msg, additives, dyes, etc etc etc. Pretty much all the fake stuff i stay away from. I drink mushroom coffee, take vitamins, pre and probiotics, lots of water, no sodas/juices, if I do juice its fresh squeezed or juiced/blended. I try to eat as natural and whole as possible. I stay away from processed sugar (this is a huge one!!).
Im pretty much pain free on the daily with minimal aches and tightness which i notice more when I Consume things on my "dont Consume list."
This was a work in progress especially cause its expensive and practice makes better. Ive learned to substitute things like sugar for honey/agave/Maple syrup/eyrithrol etc and just being super concious about what I eat. Dont get me wrong ill endulge from time to time but my diet is mostly the good stuff. Sorry for the rant..lol
I just know that from speaking to a lot of fibro peeps its different for each of us and the goal is to try different things to see what works. Sending you gentle hugs and aloha, blessings❤️‍🩹

Why thank you sweetie. No easy way to say the following. Women with fibromyalgia have a prevalence of a perineural cyst 42% according to the NIH. Not you though because you've never seen it before on imaging. This'll sound nuts but. Doctors don't know or aren't allowed to know the MRI technique to detect it. Tarlov cyst disease. What it means is your fibromyalgia is now treatable. Tarlov cyst channels are about a surgical procedure. Way risky too. What nobody knows is injections are superior. Takes flexible bilateral epidural steroid injections. Zero pain as almost three years.

I had to get back on Estrogen which alleviated my symptoms probably has to do with serotonin production hence working as an anti- inflammatory. Not giving into meds either and I’m losing my job. My mistake was thinking I could be super woman but my body at 53 says not anymore. Just have to fight through the nightmare

your story tell the facts about how you got the pain and some factors affect the feelings, but we should understand the message body give us rather than just the name of Fibromyalgia, Overusing your body is the key damage your digesting power which reduce your supply to muscles , organs ect. I believe you will heal you by the right path,

I am 22 and just got diagnosed 3 weeks ago. After a long time struggeling with depression and finally hadding it back, it feels like im once again losing my life. I finally had a good paying job with feels to hard to handle right now and im slowly falling back into my depression. I am mostly extremely tired which i find worse than the pain flare ups. I have no idea what i can do about it. My doctor's basically said goodluck with it. Anybody has any tips? i want my life back

Change your diet, eat whole foods and stay far away from processed foods that's where I started. I'm now in the best shape and the strongest I've ever been. I lift weights 5x a week and do cardio I eat high protein and clean. Haven't had a single flare up in almost a year.

Its mostly diet changes but also knowing when to move around, stretching, vitamins, yoga, massage gun, cupping, chiropractor, not over working, staying out of the sun.....the list goes on. Im A bit obsessive but I refuse to let this horrible ailment win. My pain is mostly gone which is amazing. Ill have pain a few times a month and only like a 2 to about a five out of ten in pain ratings. So its manageable for me. Its a LOT of work but worth quality of life not living on pain pills. Goodluck to you i hope you find relief and lots of pain free days. Hugs !

Have you ever heard about ketamine infusion therapy??? I really improved in most issues from my fibromyalgia and my narcolepsy. I can’t afford to get them as often as I need, but let me know if you are interested in getting some real information on the ketamine infusion therapy, how the infusion works and some different perspectives for different peoples personal experiences.
So I have good info on the medical part, scientific fact part and benefits from having the infusion. At least check it out dear, because I have been working through trying to live my life and still feel like I am actually living for about 20 years now and I know just how deeply fibromyalgia can damage our simple everyday lives. Spiritually, mentally and physically. Many prayers for all 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

I’d love to hear you found something! I hope it’s still true. I was finishing most of your sentences as 44 dude with it. Because I felt the exact pains and frustrations. You know the “it’s a chicks’s syndrome” Is a lie: Men are too proud. I’d be that way except I was 3y/o when begging mama to PLEASE cut my legs off. I don’t have the chance to know why most men with #fibromyalgia keep it a secret. I’d say it’s 50/50. Thankfully not guaranteed, but if it really does run in families I’m going to deny my self all the joys of a family to be sure I END IT WITH ME. God’ll give the possible kids to better!

Why can’t fibro sufferers tell us how they changed their diet to to relieve their symptoms? I had chest pain so bad I was always on a heart monitor, but my intuition told me it was my sternum and ribs - bone pain, not heart muscle. 3 days after giving up butter my crippling pain disappeared for ever. Now I’m vegan, teetotal. No dumb doctor would have told me that. You need to detox your liver, perhaps too many micro plastics.

Youre 100% correct. There hasnt been enough studies and it really honestly SUCKS! Ive seen so much current research including research of my own on it being linked to our gut.
My pain and symptoms are manageable because of my diet changes so i know for me its living proof. Heres how I see it...food can heal you or kill you.
