I also call it the x button. However, it is, in fact, the cross button on playstation as it's the shape and not the alphabetical character like what xbox and Nintendo use.
@@Brandon25043 I mean nobody is questioning her intelligence. But literally every PS player calls it the "Ex" but so she has a Nintendo Switch and plays Pokémon. There's a correct answer and a right answer 🤣
Offically is has always been "cross" all the way back to PS1.
Unoffically though. No one besides promo-people will call it cross. It will forever be the X button.

It's one of those things that is TECHNICALLY correct as that's what Sony calls it officially but yeah, it's an X and will always be an X.

Drop your samples near the extraction point if got a ton and you still need to clear other objectives

Some tips that I’ve learned: don’t use the starter pistol, swap to the full automatic one ASAP. Set it to semi and you have a starter pistol with 30(1) rounds in it. (And it saves the setting between missions you don’t have to do it over and over) Also, stim replenishes stamina and overheals for a couple seconds so don’t be afraid to use it to gtfo!!
I didn’t think of it like that. Imma swap off of peacemaker for it now. Since I didn’t like the kick and didn’t think of it like that
The stim has saved me while I was running for my life so many times already. If you use one of the paramedic armor sets you get 2 extra seconds of the stim effect (infinite stam, very good health regen, and crazy damage resistance)

why that when revolver one taps about any small fry with ease. plus no wasted bullets. for my assault i currently run the drum mag shotty :D and for any tough enemy theres the recoilless rifle.
if you cook a grenade so it explodes in the air it causes a airburst effect and has a larger damage radius

Here's a better tip for explosive barrels and SEAF Artillery ammo (one they don't want to mention since it'll make the game look bad): dropping and re-grabbing those items repeatedly can make you significantly faster than if you just carried them. It's a bit of a weird rhythm, but it just takes a little bit of practice.
Tips against automatons :
1st - run
2nd - cry

No they’re all easy to kill
Another good tip: if you have a bunch of samples on you and you are close to the extraction area, drop the samples on the extraction pad and leave them there until youre ready to leave. Then you can go get any side missions done without worrying about losing all your samples.
For essential tip for surviving bugs is choose bugs.
Surviving automatons, on the other hand, is never guaranteed.

Here’s a tip: Kill only what you can’t run away from. It’s nearly always better to run to the next objective rather than stand and fight. Prioritize your enemies and learn when you can back out of a fight.
For bugs, prioritize Hunters, Stalkers, and Chargers, since you can outrun the rest.
For Automatons, always bring EMS and prioritize Rocket Devestators, Hulks, Tanks, and really anything that can snipe you.
Don’t shoot wandering patrols if it can be avoided.
I have seen far too many teams spend minutes on end just fighting wave after wave of enemies for no gain. More people need to realize that objectives are what matters and that leaving a fight behind can actually help in the long run as adds de-spawn over time.

This 100%. Aside from fulfilling personal objectives, you don't actually gain anything from engaging the enemy unless you're on an Eradicate mission; there's no extra reward for having a high kill count. All it does is waste time and resources. If there's nothing nearby to work on, then disengage and sprint away to the next objective. You can outrun most adversaries.
You can also use a stim before diving off a high place to avoid fall damage
Or you can just dive. Diving already mitigates a bunch of lethal damage
@@Firemanbothnah but if you stim before you don’t run into the chance of hurting your leg, and forced to use another one to run fast again, his is a valid tip
@@Kaidjnsksbskdjsbw? It makes no difference either way, you either lose hp and heal after diving or heal and dive, take damage, and get back up. Either way you use a stim. I tend to prefer to use them after though, that way of the damage is low, I can take the stim later.

Sure, seeing as it's always been the cross button. We just stopped calling it by its actual name and said x button instead.

It's always been cross and it will always be cross, regardless of the game you're playing or Playstation Console you might be playing on.
Once I got the impact grenades, I started using them much more liberally in battle as I don't have to cook them to make the most of them (I also carry a supply pack so I can resupply on the go for bug nests if needed)
I love them. I put on a personal shield backpack, and an armor that gives me 2 additional grenade slots, and i sprint inside the nests to clear out the holes or the eggs and sprint out again. Its a gamechanger
@@jordenNDWS was hoping to use the bonus weekend to do the grind to 20 (got to get that railgun and shield pack) but with so many people AFKing clogging the servers (yes I know its going to be addressed) I got maybe an hour at best the entire bonus payout period, which was no where near enough, im still lvl 18 or just barely hit 19
Look for those hellbombs that are just chilling on the map... you shoot them, and they will one-shot elites in helldive. Had one next to our extract, and one dude got 4 bio titans with one

You get off with a warning because these are actually pretty useful tips, and I'll have to try them.
Then maybe I should start calling the X a cross cuz I kinda think helldivers can look cooler without the cape
Worst part is, PlayStation knows they can’t fawk with the Terminators. That’s why we only got tips for the bugs.😂

The bots are where the challenge is. I barely touch bugs.
@@OneBiasedOpinionI mainly play against bots and find them a lot easier than bugs for some reason.
Bots are way easier. Its harder to get swarmed and you can take simply take cover. Bugs have you running around like crazy trying to stay out of melee range while also trying to avoid poisonous projectiles.
If you spam the pick up and drop over and over on explosive barrels, you walk way faster with them

One more tip: If you press R3 while aiming, your character will go to 1st person and you can actually use the sight on every gun you have.
I like tossing a nade or 2 off of a rock next to me while running away from a swarm, especially in funnels. Classic Halo stuff.

Yeah. Had to learn that though videos here. There’s no mention of a “mode switch” button anywhere in the tutorial OR the keybind menu.

Used the item drop menu to get a friend to put on my airburst rocket launcher backpack today. I spammed every rocket over a bug nest in 5 seconds and it was beautiful. Most fun I've ever had in a video game.
My tip. If you drop in solo start by calling in your support weapon and then your resupply. Pick up support before resupply. Another tip being when you call in a resupply it doesn’t matter how many stims and ammo/ nades you have. Reload and heal then resupply so you effectively didn’t use any resources

Down on the d pad to drop equip and samples is a huge help, idk why I haven't googles how to drop things yet
You can blind fire backwards with one-handed weapons. So you can keep running forwards while shooting at the enemy behind you. It's innacurate, but it could be useful against bots since they lose accuracy whenever you shoot at them.

There's an option in the settings to save these modes per gun. Every gun has a most effective fire mode

Drop samples in extraction point every time you go next to it, they won't go anywhere and will be there once you really go for extraction
I also have 5 tips to win every match.
1. Breaker incendiary shotgun
2. Flamethrower
3. Napalm strike
4. Incendiary grenade
5. Incendiary mines
Why waste bullets and explosions when fire will do?
I run the MG hot everytime. Reminders of the beaches. Also a good marker of which ones are mine 😈

You put more bullets into that explosive barrel to kill a single bug than it would’ve taken to just kill the bug by just shooting it
Another tip kill everything that moves apart from your allies that will make them very grumpy
If tou have a resource backpack and you tap down on the d-pad then you will use it yourself

Honestly… the only time anyone wants to change their gun settings = Lights on or off.
It’s a nice feature, yet it doesn’t do much. Yet it should… so waiting around for this game or some other game that can do this better.
Now that I think about it. It is a cross button. Square circle triangle and why would the last one be letter X? It’s the SHAPE cross, because all the others are shapes. My world has been rocked. Still calling it X tho

Nope, shoot 6 bullets into explosive barrel to kill the bug instead
If you don’t download or play it you won’t ever have mission success or failure. Food for thought.

I genuinely want to know why reloading with ammo is faster, wouldn’t the action of dumping the ammo make it slower? Infact it should actually be the same speed, nothing about the mag changes besides its weight…
What’s dirty is a teammate killing you at the end and taking your samples and extracting
