Great video. I'm a real estate agent and often have to edit rental leases. The form fill tool could be helpful but it doesn't seem to find all of the empty text fields. Should I just then use the standard text tool and add text myself or is there a better way?
Since upgrading to Sonoma I can no longer use my 'purchased' adobe software applications. I have a pdf that was emailed to me that the sender would like me to edit, I would like to turn the black or blue or yellow backgrounds to white so that the 165 page document is printable without using a TON of ink. Is that something I can do in Preview? I have a lifetime subscription to the Adobe Suite (purchased 9 years ago, yup old, download from cd's), but like I said with this new operating system, none of them are supported by Apple, so they no longer work. I was hoping to not have to invest in PDF software since it's something I don't need to use on a regular basis. Do you have any suggestions?
Is there a way to create a blank signature field in Preview and then email the PDF to a client so they can digitally sign it no matter what operating system they are using?
Can you add an image in an image? So I have to add a custom stamp to an existing document for people to sign - the stamp is either png or pdf extension but can I copy it into preview?
Hey bro. I seem to have hit something on my Mac book and I’m unable to move the drop text after I place it on the doc. I’m stumped with trying to undo whatever I did. The mouse won’t grab the text box anymore.. it was working great. Any idea what I did or how to undo this?
I really like Preview but I've had to mostly abandon it because of how it (apparently) screws up pdf's that have any kind of encryption. If those docs are opened then saved in Preview, then they somehow become password protected - something that I did not initiate nor does anyone know where the password is located. I work a lot with e-signed documents, so "protections" are baked in to the document. Unfortunately this has lead me to set Adobe Reader as my default program. I wish it were not this way! If you have a word on this predicament, I would really appreciate your knowledge. thank you (PS I'm on monterey - old enough device that I can't update to newer. not sure if there's a newer version of preview that has solved this issue)
How do I go back to moving my sticky note once I've written on it? I keep adding a new sticky note and don't know where to click to get back to being able to move stuff around. Or it goes back to highlight and then it's just one big hot mess. If anyone could help me out! Thank you!
I used to use a program ten years ago on Windows that did this. I'd get PDF files for paralegal work on government sites and turn them into fillable forms and be able to add to and arrange it however I wanted. Lol
Your video has some very useful information however, the way you present it really is sub optimal. You have your entire face covering 3/4 of the screen and with all due respect I’m not watching your video to watch your face. I’m watching it to get information. I strongly encourage you to zoom into, the area on the page you want to call our attention to and use other tools such as zoom or magnify or show the cursor. It is very hard to see where you’re telling us to look because it’s the furthest point in your video from our eyes because of how you present it.
I've learned more about my Mac since Griffin joined Cult of Mac than in the whole time I've owned it. Thanks!

Me too I have big sur 11.6 and I can’t edit anymore 🙁
Thank you!
Thank you, I was lost
It was difficult to see the location of the tool icons. No offense, but staring at the presenter's face while his hand moved around did not help.
Preview is the only reason iOS is superior to Windows for average people. If Windows had something like this it would be game over
