Most of the Soviet/Russian military designs are no joke (there are exceptions of course). Poor maintenance and outdated tactics make them look much worse in Ukraine than they actually are. China can learn a lot from this war, and it's potentially bad news for us (not saying that ONLY China can learn from this, but being the new "big baddies" in this renewed Cold War, and having their troops armed 99% with Russian or Russian-origin weapons, we can focus on them in this example)
Those sam missiles would have exploded and got you if in singleplayer. Its a known bug but I do like these vids. You should try the f-16 its a ton of fun
Seeing the child makes me like DCS more because being a 13 year old reading the manual for the F-18 to know how it works. It shows the next generations of DCS and possibly pilots.
I remember you complaining about how you can see what you hit even though you stopped tracking it, you can turn it off in misc.settings should be damage report. Hope this helps
The biggest missiles have a greatest range (kh58) they are the closer to you, you can select them by pressing d, when doing SEAD turn on your jammer by pressing E it can help I think

Hey Drewski, for future reference (because Russians' weapon naming scheme is a pain in the ass, lol), the "2С6" (2S6) indication on your HUD is what denotes the Tunguska (SA-19), whereas the "TOP" (Tor) denotes an SA-15, which is a very functionally and capably similar SAM system, difference being a lack of cannons that the Tunguska possesses. Wonderful video, those Frogfoots (Frogfeet? Whatever) can definitely tear shit up, so it's cool to see that they get some love in DCS.

Agreed. I don't have DCS but I play Arma 3. Finding a group of friends to play with is becoming increasingly hard for me (GMT). The game is boring without friends playing it with me and I know no one personally who does. I can imagine it's the same kinda thing here. All the experienced pilots/ players stay to themselves as well.
DCS would be cool if the planes were cheaper, in my eyes the only way I would be paying 100 bucks on dcs would be for a plane pack maybe like 2-4 planes then I can justify that

You should try the MiG-21. Most fun plane in DCS. Especially when the cold war server isn’t empty, but it can kinda work in modern as well.
