As a daughter of an addict who also was taken by pills I find this song heartbreaking but it also helped me with explaining to some family members how I felt for the first 11 years of my life.

I love this song for its brutal honesty. Grief = anger and sadness mixed. I bawled like a baby the first time I saw the video (and I still tear up watching it), but my ex-husband, who took his own life, also had an addiction and our daughter now has a child of her own and he is missing it. So the ending really gets me. Although I think everyone who's lost someone can relate to the end. Life moves on and we think "man, I wish so and so were here to see this!"

This is not just a song ° this is a soul deposid!
True story:Nate asked everyone to leave the studio in the last verse.
Also as he said in the past ,now that he become a parent himself he has been her place and has forgiven her.
As a mother this hits different ° No child deserves to feel this way!

This song literally saved my life. I am 42 & have a lot of health issues, auto immune disease, I have shattered disc in my back due to my abusive 1st husband, doctor said I need a rod put in my back because my spine was also pushed back but I can't have surgery due to heart issues. I also suffer with severe depression, anxiety, & ptsd. One day I was sitting in my bathtub with music playing. As I started to pop a full bottle of pills to end my pain this song came on. It made me realize that my kids wouldn't be better off without me (I felt like a burden). I called my husband (he's a good one) & he left work, rushed home & got me out of the tub & took me to get help. I still struggle but God has gotten me through every storm. So now this song makes me emotional for a few reasons. Great reaction as always!

"Sometimes I wish I would have just called you. I wish I would have picked up the phone." - he mentions this in Mansion when he talks about the room that is filled with regrets and it's the room where he sleeps. The first thing he wrote on the wall was about wanting to call his mom.

This song would make a statue cry! I think crying is good for you and tears should always be allowed to flow! I always hate when I see someone start crying and someone else tells them, don't cry, don't cry! Crying is like laughing or any other emotional release it's what the body does, why fight it? That's like holding in laughter or a sneeze or a fart, just let it out, lol! Then again after thinking about it, if I was a reactor and knew everyone's watching I'd probably be less emotional and hold it in like guys just do! Thanks for your reaction and keep up the good work! Watching all your stuff!

Thank you! I agree 100% with crying. I said in the video Im not a crier but I think I might've lied because I am depending on the scenario like when a dog dies in a movie bruh I bawl 😂 but yeah it's weird with reactions because luckily I've been blessed with people watching my videos and even on an off video I'll get a couple hundred views. So it's hard to be open to letting that many people see you cry. My comfortability is still improving in front of the camera too. I hope to get so comfortable I don't think about those things in the future

@@TrevandErin yeah, that song is called "Beautiful" to his mom. I have watched all of NF's interviews on TH-cam. He has an excellent interview that is about an hour long. He said in that interview that as an adult now he has forgiven her and has given her more grace now that he understands more about addiction.
That is him really crying throughout this too. The end he had Tommee and a few others leave the studio and he just talked to his mom in the dark studio. The end is the product of that. He had intended to do another verse, but he decided to keep his true and raw emotions instead. I have heard this song probably 100 times and I still cry. I am an empath though and a VERY emotional person. I think it is so much more attractive if a man shows tears and cries. There is NOTHING wrong with that at all.

    Seriously though... I appreciate you
puting this reaction and your REAL
response out here... This track has ended
many a NF reaction journeys after so many
reactors are left with a blank stare and tears
streaming down with their final response being..
    '' I'm out''...
Nate had to know God wanted his PHD in 'this hurt me!'
to be used for good(Peter Parker?) to create such a
powerful message through the web of disfunction with
the gifts he was given to create such a raw connection
no matter how personal it was for him to mention...
Nate now has turned it into beauty from the ashes of
the ugly truth for those who are dealing with addictions
from every angle of the chain of pain that had custody
    of THEIR 'mansion'... that's insane!...

When youre a child you dont understand addiction. I love this song as it takes the view of the child. And in many ways even as an adult the childs perspective remains. So many documentaries and blogs ect tells the point of the addict and how everything affected THEM, but not as much the truly innocent victims, the kids. The families. The addict needs understanding, true but so does the child and not judging them for not forgiving or trying to understand the addict. With the neglect snd abuse drugs can make an addict do, they don't have to forgive or understand anything until they choose to.

Aside from the great reaction as usual. I think it's time to get to know you a little better (since the community has grown a bit recently). I suggest doing a classic Q&A. You like to "rant" a lot (I honestly consider these moments to be some of the best of your videos) and we sure have a lot of things we'd like to know about you. It's just a proposition. Keep it up and take care.

I could definitely do something like that. I'm an open book. Just gotta have enough people to wanna ask questions lol I could make a community post and see

I've been through something like this recently, well I guess it's been about a year and a half but it still feels like yesterday I lost my dad to a drug overdose the worst part was I was there I could have done something but I didn't I was thirteen. He went into the bathroom at like nine in the morning like usual and didn't come out I didn't think much of it he did that sometimes, just pass out somewhere. So I left him there played some games and just hung out all day. Finally it was about seven at night and I figured I should at least wake him up and tell him to go to his room. I found him in there dead. His body was stone cold I called 911 crying I blame myself I should have done something earlier but I didn't and I'll never see him again because of it.

I'm so sorry to hear that. No need to blame yourself. Whatever drug he took is to blame. You done everything you could.

NF has since said that he has forgave his mother since he has a child of his own. I'm guessing he got this perspective from wanting to do tours and working keeping him away more than he would like to be.

Hard song.... yeah this is not on my Playlist, it's hard to hear the pain in Nate's voice, thankfully I've never lost anyone in that way, they have been away from us because of it but still here.
Paralyzed also gets me because unfortunately I can relate to those feelings.

Have you done “real”? From NF? It was on the Mansions Album and is part of the “Journey”…
If you haven’t, I’d recommend going back on a “detour” to fit that one in before you move to “Perception”:-)
It’s my recommendation, where others may agree or disagree, but it is an important visual you’ll need before you react to “Outro” IMHO…
