I am contemplating whether to upgrade but my plane says 787-max 9…. No idea what business class is like

Their 787 is usually with the new (better) business class layout 1-2-1 with a more private pod design for the seats. However, you can always check the layout beforehand when choosing the seat to make sure

I have flight from NYC to Istanbul in a couple weeks for a hair transplant. After I watched this video I called the booking agent to upgrade to business class but unfortunately it will cost upwards of $8,000 USD.
