To be honest, it was a great deal! For that comfort and catering on board, I wouldn’t doubt paying for that again 🥹
I flew Turkish Airlines business class last year between Canada and Istanbul (9.5 hours) and I agree the comfort, amenities, and service were fantastic. I look forward to doing it again sometime soon.

I paid a lot more for my economy ticket... I had a hair transplant in Istanbul last year; hopefully, I can go back this year. It's an awesome city. Great videos. Somebody recommended Qatar I will probably use Turkish Airlines this time
Always welcome to come back to Istanbul! My regular roundtrip economy class ticket was 1,200 usd plus I paid 1000 usd for a business class upgrade just for one way but still was a great deal and saved much more as if I had bought a full business class ticket 😬

Which fleet did you travel with? Also a boeing 787-9 dreamliner? I think they also have this available in some routes between The U.S. and Istanbul.

I fly one a year from Turkey to USA and back to Turkey. Turkish airlines are hard to beat. The crew is always amazing. Never a disappointment!

I upgraded to business from the app as soon as the online Chech-in opened.
Seems like a good deal..I will love to take business class from Toronto to Dubai
Try it out! Just wait until the end right before the online check-in to upgrade, sometimes the prices drop a bit more. Even sometimes right at the counter when dropping the luggage you can also get a good deal for upgrading but you need to get there very early and see if there are some seats still available, I didn’t want to take the risk and did it a few hrs before the online check-in.

Can you please clarify: are the seats fully flat bed, or do they have a space in between knees and just a foot rest whilst reclining?
As I said in the video, they turn into a fully flat bed which measures 190 cms long.
Love Turkish airlines. $1k well worth it. I wish we could get a deal like that. We fly condor and pay about 4k per round trip from seattle to frankfurt

Hello! Can you clarify the baggage policy? On your economy flight could you take your backpack and your carry-on? Or do those count as having 2 “cabin bags?
Economy: 1 cabin and 1 personal item (backpack size)
Business: 2 cabin and 1 personal item (backpack)

Did you pay for the buggy or was it provided by Turkish? I have always had to pay for mine. I order it right outside of the lounge.
Hi! I didn’t pay for it, the buggy driver saw me holding in my hand my Turkish Airlines ticket so he asked me if I was going to the lounge to which I said yes, then he told me it was included so he would take me to the lounge entry 🥹 also the one back to my boarding gate was included (round trip buggy).

Good question! I was already walking towards the VIP lounge when the buggy was coming, the driver saw I was holding a Turkish Airlines ticket in my hand so he asked me if I was going to the lounge to which I said yes, so he said the buggy was also included and he drove me there, tbh I didn’t know it was also included I just happened to see it when I was on my way. But you can ask at the check-in desk, surely they’ll know where to book them.

Wow is this the a350 business class? We flew on the older cabin on the 777 and this equipment looks so much better. I think they might use the equipment made here in Kansas!
Hi, Walter! This was the boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, it was awesome! I believe they also have this fleet for some routes between The U.S. and Istanbul, maybe next time you can check it out, every cent paid was so worth it. Cheers (with a Cola 😅)!
@@BeryIstanbulTips Ah nice! the dreamliner/a350 options were from US cities that required more wait time, so we went with minimizing travel time. However, hopefully they will upgrade their Chicago-to-Ist options next time we visit you!

For visa related things I suggest checking directly with the Turkish Embassy of your country, that way you’ll have the best and most accurate information.
1 K extra for business class is very unusual, usually is much more . Turkish airlines food is excellent, I can compare quality only to Emirates Airline, only 2 best airlines that can be used for long flights
I was also shocked! That’s why I didn’t think twice and just paid the upgrade one day before my departing flight, so basically I paid in total for a single trip ticket 1000 usd for business upgrade + 550 usd for the economy class single trip, total 1,550 usd business class, not bad! 😄
And when we landed I felt like if I just flew 3 hours in total😂
