I've seen people use gorilla tape and duct tape. Never made sense. I've had good success with hockey tape and wrap fairly similar to what you're doing. Keep crushing man
thanks for the vids, always funny and educational at the same time. when you want to learn something about strength training then you´re at the right place here . keep it up 💪
Curls are like the one lift where sometimes I'm not miles and miles away from the real strongmen. Lol! Everything else...yeah...I just have to pretend that kilos are pounds. Then I'm in the ballpark.😂
Funny how your athlete history includes you being a thrower. But throwing happens to be your worst strongman event. You hitched your wagon on a horrible train initially.
@@daviesugo7641 I think there is a huge difference between throwing for distance and throwing for height. Being taller/having long limbs helps a lot in both, but there is a much greater technical element to throwing far in shot, discus, and hammer. Being stronger and more technical helped me overcome my anatomical shortcomings 😂 for example you occasionally see world class track throwers around 6’, but the vertical throws are dominated by taller athletes. The two are very different
@@HattonStrength oh that makes sense. Like how good would Joe Kovacs be if he was 6 foot 4 sort of thing. I see what you mean tho. Like the swung is much more exaggerated in vertical throws, so height plays more of a role. Plus Olympic distance throws have had time and investment for the technique to be perfected. I doubt we're quite there yet in sandbag, keg toss and other strongman throws
The comedic timing on that sandbag getting stuck👌🏽
@@jansengamble9645 if there is a way for me to screw up a throwing event I will 😂
Great stuff, thanks!
Ain’t no ol’ sandbags holdin back Large Legs Lucas Hattin! Let’s go!
Gonna try those safety bar squat things you did! Thanks for the idea! 💪🙂

The SSB abuse earned you a subscriber!!! Will try at gym haha
I've never seen that SS Yoke bar movement as an accessory to stones. I'm quite intrigued.

But have you tried shot putting the sand bags
@@dantethunderstone2118 I’ve tried a discus style broke my throwing upright from hitting it too hard
your footwork on each sandbag toss was different. Is that something you are working on or do you think it's not that important?
@@xiejun5680 slightly different depending on the weight. Trying to get slightly closer on the heavier ones
@@HattonStrength Thank you for the reply! I'm just getting into tossing and I wasn't sure about setups.
why the WD40 ?
@@nigelweysom7423 it helps break down the tacky to get it off easier.
