An interesting fact about Nigeria, we go all out for our country and at the same time criticize ourselves a lot and make light of any situation we find ourselves in but the rule is that only Nigerians get to make fun of Nigeria ✌🏽

Nigeria has great potential to be Africa's Super power. Their Economy is Large but unfortunately at the moment unlike South Africa, they dont have proper systems in place to run an efficient government.
But I repeat, Nigeria is a threat to SA and with proper Systems and accountability on place, Nigeria can be a bigger if not the Biggest Role player in International Economic Growth. I'm a South African by the way.👌👌👌

I don't think Nigeria is a threat to South Africa. I believe both countries are running their own individual race.

We have more that 3 tribes, its just those three are the largest however , benin Republic got its name from an ancient and powerful city in nigeria that still exists today. The benin city of the edo people . We also have one of the oldest writing systems in africa called Nsibidi by the efik people.

Would love to throw more light on the greeting system in the igbo culture.
The females crouch when greeting and the males bow slightly. Also a younger person can’t offer an handshake because it’s seen as a sign of disrespect. And if the elderly person offers the handshake, the younger person has to receive the shake with both hands.
While the elders greet themselves with handshake or clashing of their OFO( which represents staff of authority)
    Much love from Nigeria 🤍🤍

Many Nigerians use more than one phones cuz,
    1. you buy and own your phone
    2. there is no contract with any telephone company
    3. you only buy sim card from any telephone company you like and insert into one phone
    4. then buy airtime(call credits) and load into your phone - they come in say $1, $3, $10 types and gives you call minutes commensurate to the amount
    5. when your call credit runs out, you can't make a call but can receive calls, until you buy call credit and reload
6.so people can get up to 3 different phones for 3 sim cards from 3 different couriers to take advantage of promos and call quality
It's not like North America where you're locked into a compulsory 2 year contract and must pay the monthly charges whether you made a call or not.

Since you guys asked, here goes 😁
Fun fact about Nigerians: The large majority of Nigerians are jokers 😂, from the least to the greatest. And sarcasm is a big part of the culture. We just love comedy down here. I'm not the type to capitalize on comparisons, but I honestly don't think there's a funnier country out there 😂. The situation may be dire, but we'll find a way to get a laugh out of it. Imagine a place where the entire population has several inside jokes. It's the best.
    So, here you go 🥰

    Amazing facts about Nigeria:
Nigerians are very hospitable! We take saying "do to others as..." For example, if you're visiting a relative far away and you get there and discover that they went out, their neighbors are going to host you before your actual host comes back. Like they'd feed you and make you feel comfortable even without knowing you before. I grew up seeing this habit in Benin city and it still exists till today, I do it to people too. We are very warm to strangers and it gets teary when I ponder on it, knowing the world is neglecting this.

It's not just that we have phones, it that the average Nigerian have at least 2 to 3 phones each. In North America, people have about 1 phone/person. We have 3 phones or more for different companies. For example, if in the U.S., one can have one phone with Verizon, another with AT&T, and a third with T-Mobile. This is incase one line isn't giving service at a location, the other phone might work

About the phone part.. you know Nigeria’s love to do business,so they carry out most of their transactions online …. Plus some of us don’t have a physical store every business transaction is online so having just one network or mobile phone is not enough…… so to be on the safe side is best to own more than one or two.

The issue was not everyone having a mobile phone. It is each person having SEVERAL phones. I live in the UK where most people have one phone. Which they have on a contract. Nigerians buy their mobile phones outright and pay for data, either by pay-as-you-go or a data plan. And by the way, that must be an old clip showing those old phones! We keep up with the times like everyone else. :D

    DISCLAIMER.
ONLY NIGERIANS ARE ALLOWED TO MAKE JOKES ABOUT NIGERIA.
Nigerians will make JOKES about their country cause they like sarcasm and telling jokes. But when an outsider makes the same jokes be rest assured that NIGERIANS ARE GOING TO COME FOR THAT PERSON WITH EVERYTHING IN THEIR ARSENAL.
Nigerians generally keep to their lane and feel very confident and comfortable with who they are.
Nigerians are not fazed about the negatives that others paint them with. They just move on and aim for the best cause Nigerians know that you can't please everyone.
    Nigerians are great people.
    Nigerians hustle to succeed.
    Naija no dey carry last.
