- Sega's AM2 Studio have done more for gaming than Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft. They were the best studio in the world, and I'm going to explain why.

AM2 for life, I recently got a House of the Dead arcade machine. It also plays Virtua Cop 2. I love 90s Sega so much. Great video! Takes me back to 1996, when life was less complicated

I liked Shenmue 3 and will never apologise for it. I think that game is better than people give it credit for
I'll admit that on the second play through it is a lot better once you don't have to grind so much
@@dodgykebaab It has its issues, but for me a lot of the things people complained about I actually kind of liked about it. I liked the daily routine. I like spending days in that game just getting sidetracked from the main plot and living in that world again.
I think if you play that game solely for the plot then I could easily see why someone would hate it. But I think if you casually play at your own pace, it's actually a pretty damn good experience that still feels very Shenmue.
But that's just my thought. I really like Shenmue III. I think for the budget it had, it was pretty ambitious. But that ambition is both its strength and weakness, Strength as in they tried to pull off a full fledged Shenmue experience on a fraction of the budget. Weakness in that the lack of budget showed the cracks.
Fully agree with your hypothesis. AM2 is legendary and I still hope for a compilation in the future. Great history overview! Ah man the 90’s was so special with respect to video games. Miss the creativity of the SEGA studios.

Enjoyed that. I love AM2 for their lush bright graphics make me feel good. No depressing brown satanic inspired dullness like doom etc. How on earth they did Scud 25 years ago still looks modern.

Since Sega AM2 is good at fighting games, then imagine that AM2 would make arcade versions of the Super Smash Bros games
I played these games as a kid in the 90's. I had fun with them at the time. Now they make me want to have a seizure. Great video though. AM2 was truly ahead of the curve with their polygon based games.

People didn't wait for PS2 more than that actually. We've already see away more popular compagny like Nintendo beaten by a brand new console from another constructor.
But when Ps2 came out with new DVD technology cheaper than any other DVD reader that was a shock. First year people bought more DVD than games on PS2! 🤣.
I waited, I didn't have much money back then and I believed into the Sony hype. It's only much later I realised I'd been conned.
