- The "Home" music video is a new arrangement of the well-loved Singaporean classic written by Dick Lee and first sung by Kit Chan. Launched on 15 February 2011, the music video brings together 39 local singers from across generations including Max Surin, Maggie Teng, Sheik Haikel, Stefanie Sun, JJ Lin, Taufik Batisah, Olivia Ong and more. They are accompanied by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO).
This video was directed by regionally-renowned Orion Chou and produced by Full House Communications. Kit Chan, the executive producer of the music video, pulled together long-time collaborators and icons of the local music industry Goh Kheng Long and Dr Sydney Tan as music producer and vocal producer respectively.
This the song that will keep me close to HOME when i am overseas.. i really love Singapura so much..

I LOVE SG.. when u are station overseas.. u will miss home dearly.. and this is Singapore.. where home is.. where friends are.. .. where u will never be alone...
Singapore is where i grow up from. A City who protected me till now. Thank you Singapore. =)
Singapore is our home.We are proud to be Singaporean!!Singapore Go!!!
It's a simple, engaging song that it's easy to sing along.
You just hum a simple tune, and the lyrics just trigger in your brain.
For a guy who stayed in this little island for half his life, it's pretty much the most memorable song I ever heard in Singapore. 15 years. I ain't going anywhere.
I LOVE this song as a singaporean!! So proud of Singapore!!
I love this version absolutely!!! Singapore rocks!
Love this song!!! Proud to call Singapore my Home!
Happy 48th National Day!!!
PROUD TO BE SINGAPOREAN.
hurts me when people say when they grow up, they want to migrate to other countries.
to me, singapore is one of the best, most all-rounded countries in the world.
good healthcare,safe,billingual/multiracial, no natural disaster/poverty/riots,good law administration. what more can we expect?
stop complaining. we're already blessed and given a lot more than what we are worth.
live in harmony. be a nice person/citizen, then fellow singaporeans will complain no more.
This is home , my home , I love Singapore
This songs make me proud as a Singaporean
actually cried while strumming my guitar and singing this song when i was overseas for two years
I
Love this video with my heart.
It tugs at the heartstrings like many have commented and felt.
Save for one thing - That blatantly obvious product placement of Beats by Dr. Dre Headphones.
3.30 - 3.33! OMG< JJ LIN N STEF SUN! PERFECT PAIR.
The saving grace of this MV.
So many unknown peeps...
Only a few recognisable faces.. :(
This brought tears to my eyes..
Nothing like home. So meaningful.

@AMusicL yeahhhhh :D
More respect for Ramli Sarip!!!
i'm so proud of my home singapore..lol:-)
it would be great if you'd do a re-upload with a louder audio quality. It's rather soft even with max volume >
@ahspace i think his point is that cos Singapore is so young, there hasn't really been a family that has gone tru many many generations enough to be 'real' singaporeans. E.g Malaysia. There has been so many generations that the great great great etc. grandaughter/son does not even know if they were orginally from which part of China.(for the chinese) Yet,in Singapore,my friends still can tell me that their ffamily is from Hong Kong,Indonesia etc. but they are born in Singapore.
Monster 4 Life!
mr huang my english teacher
@teoyongwee that guy is Ramli Sarip. he's the Steve Tyler of SG malay industry. =)
totaldefencesg if you can see this the audio quality is very poor please upload a clearer version
@TotalDefenceSG I'm not sure whether you know what HD is.
@musicexam Sun Yan Zi !!
pls lah... they should invite the pinoys and countryside china men to join in and sing... they stand a big proportion of our home!
OMGOSH
the rap is so amazing! lol
its very nice tho =)
STEFANIE SUN!!!!!
@eltreet you don't like it then don't listen. nobody is forcing you to listen. this song is celebrating Total Defence Day
@nickpan It is linked!
Wheres Singapore Idol, Sezairi?
Majulah Singapura :)
@zachela dun worry... they will understand sometime somehow...
I think the jazz piano solo part from 1:32 onwards is pretty weak. It's not clear what's going on, it seems as if the producers muffled the sound since Jeremy Monteiro's playing is way too complex (except for the beginning and closing ascending scale) for the straightforward pop chords.
LJJ should sing more
@sng4all agreed with you!
@ahspace you sound malaysian from the 'de wor' part xDD
I am 13 and love Singapore.(and also have 100% sg blood -.-) Singapore is such a beautiful and safe place to be. I know all of my friends love Singapore as well. Why do you say we don't regard sg as home? Sure, some of us may not appreciate how lucky we are,but not regarding Singapore as home? Nonono. That is wrong. Judging from the way you speak, you are my elder. I know this is rude as I am the younger one,but...do watch your words.Thanks.
Singapore version of 'we are the world'
FTW!
@renozlion its good and its fit right, else the music director will not agree on the rap part. Dont you think so?
Who's the girl that appears at 0:56? I don't regconise her, but her voice sounds familiar.
Who's the one from 0:32 to 0:38?
@TheShadowWalke i agree LJJ should sing more :) he has a nice voice right ? :D
Can this song be downloaded for free?
I sing this song in my school name CZPS
Why re-invent the wheel when e original piece more than capture the hearts of all Singaporeans..
No Corrinne May?! :O
anyone kind enough to name all the singers here?
notice who sings "as my senses tell me"
This is home, where everyone has enough money to buy beats headphone
@ahspace Maybe the are one of the rare few that do not love Singapore
@mllcg tat rapper name is sheik haikal duno how to spell his name la
nice song good singer except the section at 0.42. they shld remove that part.
where is Corrinne May???
After listening to this, I cannot help but feel that one of my all-time favourites had just been utterly and totally ruined.
This is due not only by poor sound quality or blatant ad/product placements; but also by the overall musicality and spirit this song embodies (or used to embody).
I know it can be saved because a good remix has been done before. And we didn't have to look far... It was performed last year during NDP.
@renozlion quite mean to say that about someone's effort leh....
whos the rapper?
