All re-painted and based as an army. Boxed ones converted to all variants (normal, venerable, Mortis,, Ironclad). By far the biggest work was to print, magnetize and paint 52 arms to them, to get all weapon options! Pleasure to game with. GW dropped many of the weapon options from 9th to 10th. I'm really enjoying the content even though I don't collect/can't paint/afford w40k at all, your cheerful style and how you show everything off when explaining it makes your videos really fun to watch. When I was dipping my toes into playing back in the day, the fat heavy old dreadnought was the only option we had, so I'm shocked to see how many there are now and how big they got lol. I agree that the idea that they're a walking sarcophagus makes them extra cool. I like the newer designs too but I feel like it betrays the seriousness of the dreadnought backstory a bit.

When you mentioned that you like the primaris redemptor dreadnought since it’s articulated kind of like a gundam, in that case I really would recommend giving gundam model kits a shot, especially since most of them except for the really old ones are snap fit and you can paint them and still retain there full posability. I think that would definitely be a really fun modeling project to give you a breath of fresh air from always building minis, although I still love seeing your awesome painted minis. Also if you do take this idea into consideration, make sure to research the model since bandai has been making there gundam models since 1980 and not all of them are equal quality. A general rule of thumb, if it came out after 2010 you should be fine though that’s not to say every kit before 2010 are bad since there are still plenty of older gems to be found. If you have taken the time to read this then thank you, since I do have a tendency to ramble on and make giant paragraphs to get an idea across.

speaking of old minis seeing play, I have a Rogue trader Astropath that's in my current Imperial Guard army. The did is ancient and fugly as they come, but I love it. Guard is actually one army where i love using the older minis. There are some gorgeous old commissars and stuff, and the new ones just aren't nearly as cool. The old metal guardsmen are much cooler then the current plastics, too.
When they eventually revamp the guard plastics I'll be re-doing my army, but I'm sure some of my old metals will still see play. They're irreplaceable.

I think what makes the leviathan dreadnaught feels off is the body armor looks to be blocking line of site for the head in the body. The others don't really have that problem because the head is not seen or is the furthest point on the model give complete viewing angle.

All you need is a forgeworld black Templar venerable dreadnought to complete the set

something that i like about the redemptor dread is that they were able to keep the grimdark while moving away from a less human aesthetic. the thing that makes redemptor deads work perfectly is that the pilots are burnt out in a rate that they're no less important than the fuel cells or the oil in its joints, the idea that advancement came at the cost these great warriors of the imperium are considered batteries with a high failure rate.

Ancient models are life. I'm building an army out of the ancient wood elves, they're all such lovely models. Finishing the Sisters of Twilight... getting them on the board in Kings of War. :D

Dreadnoughts are my favorite, I love them all... even the kneeboiz.

I just picked up my first mini, a redemptor dreadnought. Waiting on the little magnets i ordered to mount the guns but other than that its done being assembled. The posability of that model actually messed me up. I accidentally put too much glue on the hip joints so the legs are stuck too far back (so that if I assembled it as is the dreadnought would be looking almost straight up into the sky like he saw a pretty bird). I had to cut one of the knee joint limiters off and tilt the body on top of the hips forward as far as it would go. So now its mounted on one foot and it looks like its sprinting or lunging at something which turned out to be a happy accident because it looks pretty cool imo. Probably gonna pose the arms like its throwing a big left hook or grabbing for something. Im excited about it.

I just check this video as I'm building another castraferrum Dread right now. Super cool collection! I really favor the old walking coffins to the new robots.

Hi boys, I like your collection of fancy robots.
I would like to see a basing video, about the one with the canyon themed base. I think it is made of corc and moss, but I really love your basing video tutorials.
It is a great new intro with the orc !! thumbs up !!

I have a little dreadnought collection myself and that collection includes a leviathan dreadnought. Personally I like the leviathans sheer bulk and I will admit it kinda does look a bit dopey but that's part of its charm in my eyes.

Shame they got rid of the old Forge World Chaos Dreadnoughts... I just had a look at them on the Internet, and I'm getting _really_ tempted to turn to the recast market to get one... WHY did GW have to replace ALL of them with Helbrutes? If the loyalists can get loads of Dreadnought types, why can't we?

@@Wanten-the-stormtrooper I’ve got 2 World Eater Dreadnoughts and play them mostly as Berzerker Dreadnought in 3rd Ed or with Prohammer Rules. They are both recasts. Do I feel bad? No, I don’t.

@@franzgerber6059 Yeah, I'm definitely thinking of getting a World Eaters one at some point, and _maybe_ a Heresy Mark IV one too. Also one of those Black Legion ones, if I can ever find a good recast of it.
