That's a hard sell that the policing isn't 2 tier when we all saw police fining the public thousands of pounds during covid, yet stood outside no. 10 with parties knowingly going on and only investigated after being forced by the media and even then only giving minimum fines. I realise you're talking about racial dividing lines here and I'm talking social status dividing lines but you didn't explicitly say that so I'm taking advantage. But thats not the point, actions like that give the perception that the police are against you so of course its easy then for bad actors to then manipulate that, because the trust is gone. Just look at the Sarah Everard case then look the rioters in the eye and tell them that the police are on their side. Fact is, as a society we've failed by not holding our governments and police forces to a higher standard, and its always the young that suffer.
What do authorities expect from young people? Playing fields sold off, childhood games outlawed, like conkering. Indoctrinated instead of being educated. Taught to seek external validation and not to grow internally, infantilised adults is the end result. I can't see how this report deals in generalisations, considsring someone was well paid, and well placed to add nuance. Being young, you are keenly aware theres something more to life than work and taxation. I left school in the 80s and we nelieved we were part of building something, we were a voice that sought a hearing too. Youth arent attacking policing in general, they’re attacking abuses of power, authority and bad policing tactics. Kettling has now become a social control tactic. Gaslight the public about events, dismiss and denoince all forms of criticism and concern. Stamp on the outrage once the public mood reaches a boiling point. Every act and communication is a play on pressures, frictions, and tensions. Behind all eords and thoughts theres an underlying expression of atress, we have not heen taught this about the English language but it'sa truth to which there is no argument or counterpoint.
Far-right politics, often termed right-wing extremism, is an umbrella term[1] that encompasses a range of ideologies that are marked by radical conservatism, authoritarianism, ultra-nationalism, and nativism.
The kids being white kids? But we've been here since we're born and I'm nearly 60? Why are white people who are born 30 years after me be more British? Make it make sence.
It's a numbers game; if you pray silently on your own in front of an abortion clinic, you will get arrested. Whereas when you bring a crowd and start praying in the high street blocking traffic, police will leave you alone.
She said in a BBC interview that “We should listen to the children!” I knew then she didn’t have a clue about the causation factors! It’s listening to the children, sopping to their infantile, ticker tape, click bait sponsored opinions that got us into this BS in the first place! Children should be listening to parents, parents who are responsible and adult not trying to be “big brother/sister or bestie”. Most of these kids are just bored or over hyped on video game violence, they have barely had a minute of their lives when they haven’t been overstimulated! Like addicts they need the next fix of excitement so they get involved in these riots and demonstrations for the buzz, most of them not even knowing what it’s all about! Stop making excuses for bad behaviour! Bad actions need bad consequences, not hugs!
Can you remember the mother who got a royal telling off by the judge for taking her kid in a pram to a riot? Or the one who decided to take herself on holiday when her son was being sentenced? I'm not sure what these kids are meant to learn from those sort of parents.
@ Incorrect. The judge ordered the accused's identity and details to be withheld, as is usual before a case is brought to trial! Not Starmer. The judge also lifted the restrictions on 1 Aug 2024, the day that Radakubana first appeared in court. The media then reported that he was neither a Muslim nor an asylum seeker. Still the riots continued for another five days! The only ones to blame are the stirrers on social media who deliberately made up and spread the fake news in the first place!
One point of disagreement which I think needs to be made. We didn't have a riot in Cardiff at the time, but about 6-8 months earlier there was a riot in Cardiff where police were the focus. In a very different way though.
Neuroimaging studies have shown that the amygdala, the tiny almond-shaped brain structure that mediates fear, is larger in people with more rightwing views. It is more active in those favoring strong protective authority and harboring a suspicion of outsiders and of people who are different. This is a telling finding, because we know that the development of the circuitry of the brain is decisively influenced by the child’s emotional environment in the early years.
In an analysis of two large-scale, nationally representative United Kingdom data sets (N = 15,874), we found that lower general intelligence (g) in childhood predicts greater racism in adulthood, and this effect was largely mediated via conservative ideology. A secondary analysis of a U.S. data set confirmed a predictive effect of poor abstract-reasoning skills on antihomosexual prejudice, a relation partially mediated by both authoritarianism and low levels of intergroup contact. All analyses controlled for education and socioeconomic status. Our results suggest that cognitive abilities play a critical, albeit underappreciated, role in prejudice. Consequently, we recommend a heightened focus on cognitive ability in research on prejudice and a better integration of cognitive ability into prejudice models.
Maybe Rachel De Souza should of asked the victims of the riots how they felt , very easy to take a one sided approach , those kids she asked I would be interested what questions she asked and if she interviewed their parents too , no wonder we have so many problems in this country when reports are one sided .
So nothing to do with refusal to stop the boats , pensioners fuel allowance , NI rise , farmers inheritance tax etc and the continual refusal to answer one question by MPs ??????
This is a peculiar one. They are children and you do not want them to fall into a cycle but...what if that rock came towards you? Is it possible to be this sympathetic when a bunch of them hop on their bikes and terrorise people? They should learn from a young age that there will be consequences for certain actions. Not without forgetting they are children of course but do not give the wrong message by not letting them face any consequences either.
The public are almost never told who a suspect is, what they had on them, where theyre from, or any other information you think Starmer 'hid'. It risks infecting the jury pool with stuff thats not evidence. They definitely never give out the information regarding underage suspects. The judge ordered everything to be sealed until the trial started. Everything was then unsealed and the riots continued. Tell me again how STARMER hid things and how the riots were only because people didn't have the information.....
The judge ordered the accused's identity and details to be withheld, as is usual before the case of a youngster is brought to trial. That means it could not legally by reported by anyone: not the media, not the police, not Labour, not Conservative, or any other political party.

Now I know what the right wingers meant about a 'two tier system' sure is working for them...
Open your eyes and ears and you will see the complete breakdown of policing in this country. The blatant 2 teir policing is in your face everyday.
That's not racial division though that's class division. Boris's parties I mean.
@EloiseB2025 I know, thats exactly what my second paragraph says.
The chimp paradox is a fantastic book to help understand how your brain works. I wonder if that's what James was referring to 🤔🤔
What about all the Labour supported riots. Poll Tax riots, BLM riots, Bristol riots etc etc etc etc.
Which 'BLM riot' was that? It muat have passed me by.
What about it?
🎶 What about, what about, let it all out, these are the pivots we can do without 🎶
Go back and look and you will see that the Poll Tax riots were NOT supported by the then Labour Party at the time.
Children should be given a second chance.
Not having fully formed brains seems to also result from reading the mail, telegraph, express etc
You think the George Floyd rioters were reading those rags too?
And the guardian. All full of varying styles of failed dogma preached by the useless, the corrupt and the over educated thick has mince nobodies
You are the worst James. Truly, an awful person. For some reason I keep listening to you though😭
Great minds think alike.
@NickSmith-y2hGreat minds think differently, idiots think alike. This comments section is exhibit 'A'.
It's cognitive dissonance mate. James's words upset you, but simultaneously, deep down, you know he's right, so you keep coming back.
Right
tha manchester airport attack on the police ?...was that farage ?

But it doesn’t always get applied when/where it should be

What is the far right james? Please tell us.
Why don't you look it up for yourself?
Anyone who doesn't agree with him.
Can't say such a thing. James is part of the loony left and that's easy to define.
He knows exactly what it is, as do you
Far-right politics, often termed right-wing extremism, is an umbrella term[1] that encompasses a range of ideologies that are marked by radical conservatism, authoritarianism, ultra-nationalism, and nativism.
True Christians know you don't need to actually go to a clinic to pray about it. That lot go to intimidate, which is un-Christian.
@alanbeaumont4848 Intimidation by silent prayer by a woman on her own? That's a stretch.
You could say that about any human living in the modern UK. I get a headache just going to town because of all the neons.
Can you remember the mother who got a royal telling off by the judge for taking her kid in a pram to a riot? Or the one who decided to take herself on holiday when her son was being sentenced? I'm not sure what these kids are meant to learn from those sort of parents.
How old are you?
Starmer riots
How?
@@MichaelReaddin withholding the truth
@@MichaelReaddin FAAAAR RIGHT hate speech.
@@baz1086 Who withheld what truth?
At 14, 15 or 16 you can be sure I might (only 50/50) have gone to see a riot. You can be 100% certain I would not have got involved.
For judges and prosecution only.
Name your source for this claim ,I dare you🙄
@davidatkinson5858 Look it up yourself.
This Channel.LBC needs to be shut down
I bet you support freedom of speech though?
Exactly! 🎯👍
Freedom of speech mate
The same could be said about GB news and Talk TV
@Getonwithit204 i watch GB news and talk for comedic purposes and science fiction 😂😂😂
oh shut up
Maybe Rachel De Souza should of asked the victims of the riots how they felt , very easy to take a one sided approach , those kids she asked I would be interested what questions she asked and if she interviewed their parents too , no wonder we have so many problems in this country when reports are one sided .
lol more like feral kids from feral parents 🤣🤣working class kids ok love
Poor O'brien, never recovered from Brexit.

How are those benefits going? You enjoying them?
No?

The biggest benefit is hearing about the daily meltdowns from LBC presenters.

You sound very confused. Try discussing reality with an adult
They looted greggs and burnt a library down because of a WFA that hadn't even been means tested yet?
This is a peculiar one. They are children and you do not want them to fall into a cycle but...what if that rock came towards you? Is it possible to be this sympathetic when a bunch of them hop on their bikes and terrorise people? They should learn from a young age that there will be consequences for certain actions. Not without forgetting they are children of course but do not give the wrong message by not letting them face any consequences either.
James won't like this, he wants them banished forever
From the Children's Commissioner. That's depressing
Don't believe the Children's Commissioner.... especially if James O Brien tells you different.
O'brien the 🔔 end most hated man just after starmer
dont be so silly ............BOJO dancing on the graves of the dead partying all the time
Why is that cos he speaks facts that race haters don’t like
Hatred is born of fear. Why do you find him intimidating?
Dear me. The state of it 😂
James Labour should have told the people the truth about the Southport Killer....Hiding the truth was bad.
What truth was hidden by Labour?
