I've seen him live on a festival here in belgium, he said it was the biggest crowd he had ever had (which yeah, the concerts were in like big circus like tents and it was completely full) and after every song he giggled slightly and said thanks, it was so sweet.

You would never guess but the majority of cavetown's songs are have very deep meaning. The first one that comes to mind is that Lemon Boy is about him finding out he has depression and learning to deal with it and that he lost friends due to his depression. Think about that the next time you listen to it, it's very cool!! Love these vids btw!!
This is Home was the first song that I heard when I was actually CONSCIOUS. But my sister used to play music aloud on her phone when she slept and I remembered the tune later in life. I spent so much time looking for it, even finding another song that I mistook for it. But when I left my music app on auto-play, some cavetown songs played and then Devil Town played. I cried right then and there, it's my favorite song now.

You would never guess but the majority of cavetown's songs are have very deep meaning. The first one that comes to mind is that Lemon Boy is about him finding out he has depression and learning to deal with it and that he lost friends due to his depression. Think about that the next time you listen to it, it's very cool!! Love these vids btw!!

Devil town was the first song by him I ever heard
This is Home was the first song that I heard when I was actually CONSCIOUS.
But my sister used to play music aloud on her phone when she slept and I remembered the tune later in life. I spent so much time looking for it, even finding another song that I mistook for it.
But when I left my music app on auto-play, some cavetown songs played and then Devil Town played. I cried right then and there, it's my favorite song now.
Mine was lemon boy and I found it through an animatic :)

watching her listen to this is home for the first time reminded me of when i first found cavetown, only a few months after this song was released. it just brought me back to those times of me being so inspired by his music (i still am ofc) and i would listen to him 24/7. the feeling of listening to a cavetown song for the first time is sooooo much different than listening to other artists for the first time
