      Was that the three shot theragun shot at 10:21? If so, I swear that was an awesome innovation of taking 16x9 and not losing that framing for 9x16. Props to your brain for thinking of that.

    Dope work! Props of Zeiss primes over GM. A lot of people get googley eyed over 1.2 and 1.4 but 1.8 is solid and a lot more compact

    I been getting into video and i been using my a7iv for most of it but occasionally i will use my a7rv. I have been testing out the Pergear CfExpress Type A cards 260gb in size for $190 a piece and have had great success with them. So I bought two more of them and I bet you I have over 50 photo shoots and a good 10 hours of video ran through them and not a hiccup. I do use the Sony card reader the same one you have. I've learned in the past the cheaper ones break might as well buy the good ones they hold up for a long time. But I've been using the Tamron 35-150 f2.8 and I'm really impressed with how good the focusing is with capturing the racers going by at the ATV and dirt bike races I go to. But when I want to do some nice up close footage I've been using the sigma 85mm f1.4 dg dn But I've been using the Ifootage monopod when I'm not doing handheld. But if I continue to do more video work I think I'm going to upgrade to the fx6 if I can find a nice second hand one. Great video by the way I know it's a year old but it's very helpful

    I’m trying to get into that. Is a good starter set up the Sony 6400 with 18-135 mm lense???

  • @pchr7097
    @pchr7097 ปีที่แล้ว

    ay, might be a dumb question but how do you make your sports clips so like choppy? I love that, I shoot my sports in 120 and then up the speed in final cut to like 1.4x and it looks choppy but not how yours looks. I have an canon R7 and can only do 1080 120! but I can do 4k at 24/30/60 so is there a way to do it at 24/30?

  • @OwenPollardMedia
    @OwenPollardMedia 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Hey I’ve used anything from a 70-150 and 100-200 lense for sports and I want more zoom and more up close look on a person for example lacrosse I want to see up close to there face from the sideline get a more cinematographic and zoomed shot becuse that’s what I enjoy for video then cut for some up close action I was wondering if I should get a 400 lense or something in the 600s

  • @millecinematics

  • @bradleyuhler
    @bradleyuhler ปีที่แล้ว

    great video and super helpful to someone trying to get into this! couple questions: do you use an external monitor or rely only on the fx6 monitor? and do you have a bag or backpack that you usually keep this in for gameday? if so what would you recommend?

    • @GrantGiszewski
      @GrantGiszewski  ปีที่แล้ว

      For the most part I just roam with the camera and leave the rest of my gear in the media room. Monitor is a game time decision haha. It’s super beneficial for tracking but also the FX6 has a decent monitor

    When you crash zoom w the Tamron (during basketball) from 150 back to 35 for example... do you lose the focus? or does the focus hunts? I am thinking between the 35-150 or the 70-200 GM II for my FX3 and A7IV. I like the versatility of the 35-150 better, but I am not completely sold on the focus and the missing OSS. Also do you find the 70-200 too tight for indoor sports? (basketball) I would really appreciate the help. I shoot mostly events, but I am trying to get into sport videography, specifically basketball since that's what I played.

    What frame rate and xavc are you shooting for sports? Cuz the 128 at 60 on xavc will only give you like 30 min max so I am just trying to figure out what I should shoot on and with what frame rate

      That mindset will keep you in the same spot the rest of your life. If you’re fine with that, keep believing in the victim mindset. Realize there’s different paths to success. From the outside looking in, I can see how this looks like daddy’s money. But that can’t be further from the truth, wishing you the best brotha.
